I thought preregistration had to be done by the end of May?

Anyway, too bad I probably won't make it, sounds like it will be a great time.

Are pre-registration over now? Sorry about the last minute inquiry, but it was really hard for me to get the necessary time off of work to go on a road trip to Calgary.

Anyway, there will be 2 of us going at least, with up to 4 or 5 more.

Get back to me here either way. By the way, are there still hotel/motel accomodations available that you know of, and if not, could you send me a list of others in the area please.

Thanks in advance.
Gj.

Pre-registrations have been completed (unless other arrangments have been made)

Hotels can be checked through google - i guess. There are alot in the general area yet with stampede you will want to book quickly.

I am really glad that you and your group are attending.

Are you still bringing the big board to display??

Toppy

The 40mms are DEFINITELY coming out. I'll be bringing at least 3 over with me, and possibly 3 more 30mms flocked boards depending on how many of us eventually commit. It's my brother and myself for sure, with 5 unsures, some heavily leaning towards, and others not so much.

Effen B.C.ers eh - always deciding everything at the last minute.

Oh no, Torg, you're kidding! Damn, I was hoping to print off Valen's NBA "hymn" and lead off the tournament by all us NBAers singing it...

Actually, though, I can identify with not being able to go, as I was close to deciding not to go due to the cancer I was diagnosed with back in April (don't worry, guys, I'm now on chemotherapy and full recovery is predicted!). I'll still go, but due to the nature of the illness I probably won't be actually able to PLAY. Dammit. However, Toppy, if you could use a hand keeping things running, I'd be perfectly happy to help!!! :D

Troy, really sorry to hear about your cancer, but glad you are expected to make a full recovery. I'll try and see if I can work things to go, depends on a lot of factors, we'll see what happens.

After all the humming and harring, we finally have all the coaches confirmed. Unfortunately Sallacious, atropabelladonna, and Redman will be unable to attend, but there will be 4 of us doing the roadtrip from Vancouver. They are:

1. generaljason - High Elves
2. civilian_number_two - Orcs or High Elves
3. lordchaos - Lizardmen
4. spaceman spiff - Chaos or Orcs

Looking forward to finally playing in a blood bowl tournament in western Canada and meeting all you guys. I'm glad the Spike finally went west - no offence T.O. but I live in B.C.

See you guys soon.

Gj.

Unless something goes horribly wrong, I will be able to make it this year (though it won't be easy). It will be great to see everyone again and finally meet the guys from the West Coast.

Well, just got back from the Spike! and it was great fun. There were 28 coaches from all over Alberta as well as those who came from Vancouver. Toppy put on a great event, well organised as usual. It was great to see old friends and meet new people and play some BB. Will put up some pics when I have some time (maybe tomorrow).
Was playing dwarves and didn't do all that well, but wasn't really concerned with points and standings, was just there to have fun.

Yeah, I concur with Torg, the Spike in the west was a blast. The depth in coaching there was fantastic, the venue was great, and Toppy did a brilliant job organizing everything. Thanks a lot for that T. The drive to and from Vancouver was something else  , but we had loads to talk about on the way home. :D

All the awards were gorgeous - despite not winning any of them. :( This was our first Blood Bowl road trip and we would definitely go again. I enjoyed meeting a lot of Canadian coaches out there, and finally matching some of the faces of the users I see here. Thank you Toppy and AbBBA. And thank you Rustycan for booking our accomodations for us and giving us directions on the phone when we were lost. :P

As you who were there are by now aware, I wasn't able to make it, dammit. The reason is because the cancer has been bugging me badly (although I go in for my next chemo session tomorrow [Tuesday]), and quite frankly it would have been too much of a downer for the other Lethbridge players for me to inflict my suffering on them.

I REALLY wanted to be there, but it sounds like a lot of players did show up and a good time had by all. Congrats to whomever it was that won the thing and to everyone else who was able to be there! :D
