...Thought I'd say "hi"

Post by kebabi »

So, hello :)

Probably a good idea to introduce myself.
I've joined this forum 'cause I've very recently picked up Blood Bowl.
Read through the basic rules once (though I think was 3.rd version of the rules), played ma first game yesterday (with a friend who has quite a lot of experience with BB. I won actually, Orcs vs Human :D , bloody fun to play!) and have put together 6 minis so far (still gotta paint and buy me some more).
So I'm quite new to Blood Bowl, to say the least.

My local game club are gonna kick up a leauge (is it spelled like that? ) at the beginning of July and I've always wanted me some Orcs...so with that I'm planning on getting myself 4 of 'em to-be-released Black Orcs.
As said, I got 3 Gobbos glued together with a big of chain around every other fist and GS-made helmets (which kinda look like one of those latex/rubber-cap swimmers use :-? ) and 2 Blitzers glued together (just with regular Boy parts, one being made up most of the champ-parts) and a thrower (who's missinig an arm, at the moment).
But I'll get myself some more boyz from my bro soon enough...and maybe a Troll (my bro has a very attractive troll in the cabin who might want a new paint job... :) ).

Well, some general things about me.
I'm 17 years of age, live in Sweden (Västerås, right in the middle of it all), study during the days.
Been into Warhammer for I say roughyl 4 years now, played a bit of Space Marines at the start (Ultra SMUrfs, 3.rd edition), gone to Vampire Counts, built a bit of Nurgle Marines (from the Space Marines), continuesly worked on Night Goblins (them buggers never seem to get finished :P ), and a whole lot of different bitz and stuff around.
Latest being Blood Bowl.

Well, that's about it.
Gonna skim around the forum and expect plenty of annoying "newbie questions" from me ;)

Ps. does anyone else get a bit disturbed by the smilie which, erhm, barfs?

EDIT: Oh, and anotherthing. Which section do I ask around for how to build my Team?
Not really sure how one's to do it, thinking something along the lines:
4 Black Orc Blitzers - 320k
2 Linemen - 100k
3 Blitzers - 240k
2 Throwers - 140k
3 Rerolls - 180k
2 Fan Factor - 20k
Total: 1.000k

A bit short on players, can't afford to loose anyone in the first round :-?
But I really wanna keep on having some seriously strong guys - It dunt matta iv we'z get dat ball over to da uvver side uv da field or nut, 'slong we'z get to bash sum skullz.

Welcome.

Newbie questions are welcome (that is what this forum is really for).
I recommend trying the Search engine first for your question .. but if that doesn't pan out for you ... feel free to ask.

Some of the most knowledgeable folks for BB are here along with all 4 of the player coach members of the BBRC (who write the rules for BB).

welcome ....

orcs was my first real team, too. I got a lot of fun with them. ... and lost a lot, too
If you like to convert your own Orc team, maybe my website can be a help. Press the www-button at the end of my post and check the BBprojects section.

Hey Kebabi, welcome mate, never mind those 2 oldtimers. They forget to take their medication some times.

This is the location for tour team questions.
