Newquay Bowl - 4th & 5th August

I will try and make it this year, Gav. All the weddings I have to attend this year are scheduled to March and September so unless someone falls in love very suddenly I should be able. I think most of my conferences are going to be done with at that point too. No promises yet though but I'd sure like to see this part of England I've heard so much about

My annual 2 week holiday starts on the 4th and I'm staying near Holywell Bay...now if I can just persuade the wife to put the tent up all by herself on Saturday morning then I might be able to join you. Here's hoping!

Now I'm really pissed off. The reason the family holiday is booked for that time (the peak season) is because we had to go to Cyprus for my sister-in-laws wedding.

Or at least we did.

She's called it off.

So I'm in Cyprus in the hottest part of the year (I don't like the sun or the heat), we can't back out as we'll lose to much money and I have to miss probably my favourite tournament.

Oh well, hopefully my finances will have improved by next year and also my Newquay-drinking as I put in a bit of a bad show last year

Yeah, that's it, I'm taking a break this year in order for me to enjoy myself in full-on capacity in 2008!!!

Cyprus is nice if you like heat and sun.

Problem is, I'm not to keen on heat (I perfer British spring over summer), and I get sun-burned at the first sign of a infra-red camera (seriously, even using SF50 and keeping covered I still burn, so I'll have to keep in the shade for 2 weeks - I caught a mild case of sunburn at Newquay last year, and we hardly had the sun all weekend).
