Osaka Dragons - Oriental Human Team for Sale

Post by Chairface »

Quite a nice team for sale from one of the guys from the Forum of Doom. Have a look.

You are looking at a propainted Blood Bowl/fantasy football team of Hasslefree Miniatures Martial Artists, painted by a three time Golden Demon finalist. This item is for use either in GW's Blood Bowl, Heresy's Deathball, Impact mini's Street Brawl or any other fantasy football game.

Though saying that, it does look good as a display piece on your shelf as well!

The team consists of four Tetsuhara's (the Sumo wrestler blockers), four Dragon Men (Blitzers), two Yamcha's (catchers) and two Tanshiro's (throwers). Also included are two Mineko's for use as Geisha cheerleaders. The models are all mounted on slope-edged display bases, each measuring 30mm across.

The base, measuring 30cm x 17cm x 7.5cm, has a gold engraved name plaque fixed on the front with the teams name 'Osaka Dragons'. It is decorated with three outcrops of foam rock forming a backdrop, and two Temple Dogs from Ainsty Castings.

Postage/shipping is free no matter where you are in the world!

Thanks for looking, and good luck!

thi sguy lives in helston near me and I am 99% certain that it is a friend of mine who paints for me. Anyone at the Choas Cup a couple of weeks ago would have seen his handy work, if it is the same guy, I can vouch for the quality

That's because they don't make a very interesting team. They're nice enough but someone definately has to have a taste for that sort of thing. Still, A lot can happen in the last few seconds of an auction.

Well, they look good, but only the sumo and shrine dogs really look Japanese. The other models seem to be wearing Chinese attire. Not a big deal to everyone, I guess, but a Japanese Blood Bowl player would be scratching his head.

What teams would you use them as? Maybe Norse as the AV7 makes sense on them. What do you guys think?

yeah there was a norse team painted up like this a while ago. if you check out narcotic's site www.bloodbowl.org you can see them in the gallery (under teams near the bottom i think)

you could say they were humans following a different spiritual path like shaolin priests and so therefore don't need armour as chi will protect their bones... but then that's even fluffy for me...
