Knock down and scater ball

If i push back and knock down a player with the ball does the ball scater from the square the player was in or the square the player is pushed into?
Also if it scaters onto 1 of my players and he fails to catch the ball is it turn over?

The ball scatters from the square the player was pushed into.

It is not a turnover if one of your players fails to catch the scattering ball.
