Wyrd Miniatures

Post by Chairface »

Brand new minis from the people that run the Wyrd Miniatures painting contest. These are AWESOME! The only thing that concerns me is that they are done in 32 mm super heroic scale.

I've ordered the Bishop fig. I think he'll look great on the pitch!

Wow, really nice sculpting on those two human figs. Even were they 30mm though, I'm not sure how I'd fit them into a team.

I'm getting both of the human figs, but I've really only decided to use the Bishop fig for BB.

Ah, 32mm 'heroic': gotta love the non-stop scale creep. I remember when Reaper first coined the term 'heroic' in terms of figure scale, to justify their 28mm figs being larger than the 25mm figures that were the norm at the time. And now they just keep growing and growing and...

Regarding Scale:

He is in my posession now and HE'S PERFECT - I don't know about this 32mm stuff. He's no bigger than any recent Blood Bowl fig - an average sized human. He's a great looking fig and would be great for any Human/Norse team.

It's been almost two years since last post on this thread, but I found a couple of Killjoys on Ebay and ordered one....

The fig, in reality, is beyond priceless! In height he's a couple millimeters shorter than the Blackhoof BB Minotaur and only slightly "beefier".... Really about on par with a second edition, BB Ogre (which he could admirably fill in for)....

Personally, I think he's just right as a Flesh Golem! And immediately ordered the second....

He fits fine on a GW 40mm base, but wouldn't make it on a 25mm one....

Great minis. Love the Killjoy and the Vasyl. Would like to see them both dressed up for BB.
