Conversion Project: Dwarfs

Post by dendron »

Hello,

I just decided that I want to make my own dwarf blood bowl team. I like playing dwarfs a lot and so I want some individual players. I thought to take the clan regiment box. So I would like to make them look like reel football player. I know this will be quite difficult as I never ever used green stuff before.

Has anybody other suggestions which minis to take? How can I form the shoulder pads or should I buy some? When, yes which one?
If anybody has a link how to build such a team step wise would be quite cool! 8)

Thanks for all hints or comments in advance!

Have you seen the new plastic regiment set? It's in the sneek peeks on the GW news page.

THere also lots of nice new dwarves on the way. Sites with games day pics should give you some pics.

Thanks for the first hint! How new is the plastic box. I have one when the dwarfs were released. So I think this should be the same.

Quite nice minis on the page.

Hey Dendron

Take a look at this Orc team by Hell Cat

His green stuff job is simple but looks great! You could do the same for the dwarfs.

Thanks Guys for all replies. But what makes my worry is that it is very hard to find dwarfs that don't wear chain mail so I have to do a longer search to find those fellows.

@Chairface: I wanted to do something simular. Thanks for the hint.

HELP!

I just discoverd that it is very hard to find dwarfs where I can see the trousers to make them look like real football players.

I wanted to use the warrios out off the dwarfs regiment. But their armor is so long that I don't know how I can fix that problem.

Knows anybody some Dwarfs which I can use?

Thanks in advance!
