A thought occurs

When we get to actually playing these games, it would be great if the match ups were close to the same time zone so that multiple turns can be played in a day.

That is somthing we could look at, instaed of the match ups being random, ahve match ups re timezone first and then random, I will have a think about that.

one comment on the format though (if I may) - allowing Star Players really favours some teams and hurts others.. the format here is the exact same as at the Blood Bowl, which I have always thought was really crap to be frank... Griff and Luther will make Humans far too good, even at their revised prices...

better to say no stars except for secret weapon players (to give Gobbos a good time if nothing else)

Well the way I look at it with stars, we have three choices

1 No Stars at all
2 Stars for all
3 Stars just for stunties (Gobbos and Flings)

Which would people prefer, I have no preferences really

If your gonna allow stars, its only fair to allow all to access them otherwise the new gobbo team can have an army of them and cream some teams with low AV?

Good to See Norsca's up and running though with some experience on side!! We are gonna make it a frosty reception for all commers!! Just a thought though do we need a seperate format to discuss team build tactics?

me and Dave have very different tactics with Norse and completely different line-ups.. as long as we all win I don't care how we do it..

You ARE kidding ... right????

Griff and the Count are 380,000 gold to put on your team. You are spending OVER 1/3rd of your team resources to get that one player. Just out of curiousity ... can you show me the overpowered roster for Human that uses either Griff or Luthor at 380,000? (Cause a roster like this: Luthor, 2 Blitzers, 1 Thrower, 7 Lineman, 2 FF, 0 re-rolls is a joke in my opinion).

I used this format at 4 tournaments now in the US ... I've never seen Luther or Griff ... and personally I have to believe any team stupid enough to field them will lose horribly.

So I have zero issues with allowing stars as normal. Using these rules ... no one with a Star Player has won a trophy at GenCon yet in 3 years.

Norse ... have you played in an LRB 4.0 tournament with the new Star Prices? Because the last Blood Bowl if memory serves was not played with LRB 4.0.

You are entirely allowed to believe the rules are crap ... just wondered if you were doing from experience or opinion.

It was LRB 4 at the BB this year I think but from what I saw the only people with stars were the stunty teams.
