Need help with an avatar

I want an avatar and i dont know enough about pic software to make it work decently. What im looking for is the Nod symbol from Command and Conquer. I keep coming up with versions that look nice but are too many k or look shoddy.

Dude i know what you mean, im in the same boat. take a scan at TWIST's post 'I Have An Avatar' from early last week, its here in the general room. Saying that, i still cant get an avatar. May be im just stupid
