TBB Season III Update

yeah I was hoping that most folk will carry on their teams from this seasons rookie league into next seasons elite league and have only one team in the elite league. What we could do is have another little group

(trying not to overcomplicate things but we could have a non competitive group for all the old TBB Elite teams you have and dont want to retire, say TBB Paddock!)

Just so you know, Im interested to hear everyones ideas and the final format (not that its going to change much) has to be decided but by no means feel your input isnt valued, I made the league for you guys so if anything, you have control over me!

But the most important thing at the minute is to keep the interest up, there were a few guys who didnt play at all and havent visited this section of TBB or FUMBBL recently but If anyone can keep prodding them (Venemous, McDeth) and there are still folk who are interested but havent "put pen to paper" like Mordredd, Hangus, Longshot!
Im still hoping that Darkson can get his connection problems sorted and Valen gets a hunger for TBB Elite again (and that I get my Broadband connection sorted out, waiting 3 months now

)

If you can spread the word, link the league in your sig etc then that would be great!

I have a suggestion for the new league, perhaps we could merge the elite and current rookie leagues together? The elite teams will only have played a handful more games than the current elite teams after the playoffs. This way we could have another rookie season also. Perhaps limit people to one Elite team per season. This will give people the chance to build teams they want to keep without making the elite league too vast.

Thoughts?

I will definitely be keeping my Chaos team of stst freak goodness around for Elite next season. Will have to think of a team for Rookie.

If anyone is looking at the Rookie playoffs and wondering what happened, I accidentally forfeited gken vs margaretthorn, and had to create a new 4 man tourney to get back to where we should have been.

Yup, you're still playing ken.

My team for Rookie next season will be Lizards - a team I am utterly shite with. Should be interesting.

They go by the moniker Reptilian Doom, and there motto is - we're not sure whose.

gobbos get their first loss from zons.

we bolt their catcher...don't break AV. then foul the catcher w/dp...don't break av (rolled a 3 with one assist). Catcher gets up and scores.

Nobbla gets ejected after one turn.

We try and score back but troll failing 2 blitzes in a row plus a double block by troll and then a double skull by gobbo which uses rr and failed ball pick up allow zons to go up 2-0

we score 1 back in 3 turns in 2nd half. then zons score in two.

we OTS then manage to get the ball but fail the landing on accurate TTM for tie.

Zons get away from 5 crucial diving tackles but fail two meaningless DT's late.

Just Nuffle testing me to the utmost

Almost pulled a tie too!

Great game... Feel sorry for Kens Gobbo's as they were just out of shape...kept falling down at my heels (well diving more like) after the first few goes the girls thought they were worshipping them so went with the fame and adolation!!

Even my Gals strategy of dying their hair gold worked on the Trolls they just sat all confused or tickled them a bit!! Only Ripper paid no heed and got down to business!!

Obviously my Gals have learned good tactics from Mistress Zara ...Namely sleeping with the free bootin Wizard just in case...and it paid off!!

2-0 up after 1st half (where I hoped to be) 'Thanks Nuffle'

Ken pulled off a quick TD on second half but my 3rd TD quickly sealed it...even after Kens amazing 1 turn TD with a thrown Gobbo and my failing a critical throw for the 4th TD he couldn't get it back.

A really enjoyable game though!!

Onto the final then......Woody Neverdodge - I'm a comin for Yah!!!!
