Ball carrier pushed back and goes down

Quick question - When the ball carrier is blocked, pushed back and knocked down, does the ball scatter from the square the ball carrier was standing in or does is scatter from the square that he falls in (i.e., the square he was pushed to)?

Square he lands in as far as I know...
