Does anyone else remember GW releasing this special edition miniatures? I am fairly sure I got them and they got hidden in a loft somewhere. I was wondering what you guys think they might sell for if I found them. They were £150 originally and would be completely untouched and unassembled.

I don't think they'd sell for more than £2.50 a model, cause that's what GW are pushing them for.

I'm afraid so... when they first came out they were very limited edition.. but the popularity was so high GW put them on general release.. so the poor buggers who paid a fortune for them got ripped off, though that was not the original plan to be fair...
as I worked for GW at that time I got mine for the price of a Big Mac...

I heard that the Ltd Gimli on dead Uruk Hai will also be sold in July...
I hope I'll still remember then.

I've come to realize that "limited edition" means NOTHING to GW. They have released almost every "rare" or "limited edition" fig into mainstream circulation - the female commisar, that elf that was supposed to be a mail order exclusive with the card game..... The only fig that I have that I know is rare is the Bonnie Anderson necromunda fig. And for how long? But I will NEVER pay big $ for an exclusive fig because chances are they will be released eventually.

Actually that's not true...if its limited edition...that means they can charge you twice what you think it should be worth and get away with it.Chairface wrote:I've come to realize that "limited edition" means NOTHING to GW.
I'm a hypocrite though...I bouth the Marco Model for $15.00...it's too cool to pass on...and GW is validated when idiots like me buy and buy.
