I think Thads is on holiday.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

How often are games played? I have to make sure I can actually get it done before I commit to playing.
Heya, you are most welcome in the league. Even if you cant manage to play many games you would still be welcome. The chance to play the vets is good enough :) I wont turn anyone away, well, maybe Force :) , or a non TBB'er :D

Perhaps we can get ian back now that there are some more folk from "down under" ? :) Id love it if he came back for Season II :)

I did say I'd be away for a week.
Mate getting married, visiting family at the same time.

Anyway. Back now. I'll try to be online a bit later on. Have to go shop and eat first.

Ken goes through by wearing down the dwarfs in a game of attrition.
I lost a runner permanently (apoth failed) and a blitzer early on, and with ken having numbers advantage from there he could engineer crowd pushes to further reduce my numbers.

I got a little lucky to open the scoring, Ken got a little lucky to even it up, and then it was something like eight of eleven for the greenskins. I was pretty chanceless and had five dwarfs left on pitch at the end of the drive.

mad luck both ways, Ken just got the better of the armour breaks. Smeg happens. He deserved the win in the end.

Moment of the game: my Stand Firm Longbeard holding his ground against five Orcs, tying ALL of them up in TZs.

Quarterfinal played:

Bark FC vs Springboks 2-0

For the first time in eight games, the niggling injury due to aging finally caught up with Randy Rhoades and his crazy train ride decided to derail. I don't know, but he might have thought that this game was more like a suicide solution than a shot in the dark. However, back on earth Bark At The Moon FC said goodbye to romance and went over the mountain to face some crazy babies called South Albion Springboks.

"I don't want to change the world, I just want to win.", coach Barkin' Harald said prior to the game when his team took the pitch. The desire to fly high again time after time was strong in the Bark FC squad. You did not have to read a diary of a madman to see the winning scent in their eyes and you could easily realize there was no easy way out for the Springboks in this one.

Things quickly went the Bark FC's way and you never know why big hulks like ogres tend to never get things right when it counts the most. A failed block led to a quick counterattack led by the ferocious werewolf, Ozzy Osbourne. It was almost like lightning struck when he moved swiftly across the pitch for the first score.

1-0 was the result at halftime and it almost seemed like the Springboks were kind of paranoid entering the 2nd half with a little too defensive setup leaving some glaring holes for the Bark FC to take advantage of. The springboks knew they could not afford more tears if they were to stay in this game.

The Bark FC, a true believer, sent newcomer Marilyn Manson to be the ballcarrier during the drive. Lemmy picked up his pace and sent one of the Springbok blitzer into the crowd and his head was sent hearing the thunder underground. The moment after he sent one of the receivers into a dreamer kind of state. "See you on the other side Mr Crowley!", Lemmy told him before he sent the receiver to the fire in the sky.

After 2-0 the Springboks started to bob their heads and looked beaten upon entering the pitch. The tactics were not very thought ought and headcoach was heard saying "Whatever gets me through"..

At the sound of the whistle and before the roar from the Bark FC fans took over, Springbok headcoach Mr. Andy "Evil Git" stated "MAMA! I'm comming home!"

ORCS WIN!!!

in a hard fought match, the orcs wittle down the undead to win 2-1.

Orcs drove the field in 8 turns ko'ing one WW and badly hurting the other, with a quick pass being a critical play in out maneuvering the necro's. Harald did have a nice play on the ball with a flesh golem dodging and knocking down the ball carrier.

2nd Half the necros' get behind the orc defense with some help from their fans who stun the deep safety. They stall for a turn but it almost costs them when the tackler gets onto the ball carrier....the ghoul dodges away for TD but costs a RR.

The orcs then manage to drive the length of the field in 5 turns with the key play being the thrower not getting knocked down in the final drive. blitz frees the thrower for the win :)

Mixedlimb Lurkers 2 Gorks Savages 0

Wow. The match started bad. I got palmed coin and he rolled a blitz. However Gken was unable to capitalise. Luthor ran the show and ran in the first TD, although Ken rolled his first of many double 1s on the build up the the TD. This gifted me the first TD.

For his drive he dominated mostly, but some very untimely double 1s and skulls meant that I manged to stall him enough to prevent too easy a score. He needed a 3+ but blew it.

Second half was a similar story. The orcs dominated the drive however failed some more key rolls. For a few turns we both were consistantly ending our turns with failure. I managed to break the ball away with my mv8 ghoul and once he was away nobody could catch him.

In the second half Gken ended alot of turns with this: gfi (1) reroll (2) gfi twice (1). I'd say thats the most failed GFIs I've seen.

Gken goes on the fun list. 2 games against him and 2 dice rapes and always has fun with it.
