Ok, maybe he has a bad record against Orcs. Maybe he finds them boring. maybe he just doesn't like green! Whatever. It's an open league, there's no downside to declining a game, and he can accept or refuse as he sees fit.

hell, a couple of years ago I'd have turned down a game against lizzies, as I had an appaling record against them. I'd have happily played Orcs, Chaos, Dwarfs though. Does that mean I'm cherry-picking?

If I understand you, the only issue here is that I played what you see as a more bashy team after declining your offer.

When I looked at the two teams the Nurgle lot looked genuinely less likely to pulverise me, we differ in opinion on that and that could be a sign of my inexperience (not having played nurgle before) but I thought (and still think) that the lack of block would hurt them (and I'm not overly worried by the beast).

It was also a little while later and I was getting more desperate for a game:) If one of the humans had been the right sort of TR I'd have preffered them.

Cheers,
Gary

LMAO

Thanks for that, he might know what he's talking about then! :P

Mind you, if he's used to Khemri and Chaos dwarfs I can understand why his orcs don't appear bashy to him.

Thinking about this last night I can see why people might avoid you because you're so highly ranked and I understand that being dodged like that would be irritating.

I don't "get" that mentality though, I'd see it as a no-lose situation; you beat me and, well, no big surprise, but if I win then it's major bragging rights:) How many chances am I really likely to get to take a shot at the top ranked players?

In fact, I'd love to have a crack at your tournament Khemri, I'm thinking of joining the tournament scene over here in the UK (my wife will love that on top of my other tournaments:) and it'd be great to see how the better players play.

Cheers,
Gary.

you'd be a glutton for punishment....with my khemri I've cleared the pitch 3 times in tournament play....and gotten teams down to 1 player MANY times...including orcs!!!

but I've basically retired my khemri from tourney play...I've accomplished my goal of proving they could win a tourney :)

I wouldnt take those rankings too seriously. 8th in the UK apparently with necromantics, just below Darkson. Surely not? ;)

ouch, but considering I keep accepting games with bashy teams (because there aren't any others in hte league actually playing!) I'm guessing that yeah, I'm a glutton for punishment :)
