Well i'm going, this will be the first time i've ever been to a blood bowl tournament.

I'll be bringing the little lady too, so are "spectators" allowed in ? or does she have to wait outside....in the rain....and cold. Anyone know ?

i've never been to warhammer world so don't know what to expect.

She'll be allowed in don't worry. Don't expect her to sit beside you though, I was told to go and ask the three girlfriends to move as they weren't playing. That included the partner of the seriously ill guy in a wheelchair who appreciated the moral support. Thankfully I talked them round and avoided looking like a total f**king idiot

The hall is good, if surprisingly cramped. The tables are too low, the chairs are for 11 year olds and the lighting is so chronicly poor I've seen two people have epileptic fits because of it. Bring plenty to drink (even though it's banned, except water  ) and plenty of headache tablets.

Still, all in all it's a reasonable event, but there are better.

And I disagree. So far IMO the Eurobowl is the world cup of BB events.

Well, I won't be making it back over there again this year, once at the BB was enough for me. It's an expensive trip (and just got more expesnsive), but worth it for the experience though, but second time around I don't think it would have the same impact.

Eurobowl is more like the Wolrd Cup true (country vs country + totally unique etc.)

But surely the BB is the biggest individual event there is?

Until we change that and organize something bigger and better. Better is easy, bigger might be a problem. However, i think the main problem would be location. Get a room for 500 people and we can start working to fill it ;) I think organizing a private "mega tournament" in central Europe would be possible.

Nah ... moving it out of Warhammer world is part of making it better ;)

Unless we really only rent the room (and the pub, that's great) and are allowed to throw the furniture and the warhammer/40k tables out ;)

A 200 person tournament at £50 a ticket is a budget of £10,000. There must be somwhere that can do venue hire, food and lodging for 200 people for 10 grand! Even if its bring a tent and camp in the garden!

At £50 I'm giving it a miss. Money's tight enough, and for that price I can get in 2 indie tourneys, and have as good (and more likely better) time.

Pearly's is starting to look do-able...
