Cheers Galak, I'll get my end sorted out ASAP (oh, blade Dremel'd off for me to, thanks.)

Dragoonkin might be interested according to his post in the other (For Sale) thread.

I won't be able to afford two of those bad boys now (having checked the bank account). Might as well lop the knife off on mine too - it serves no purpose other than to unnecessarily complicate getting through customs :)

Okay so let's make this deal ... to avoid having customs issues ... is everyone willing to have me send only Dremel'd off items.

This would make my life a LOT easier. Totally avoid the customs mess. If one of you really wants to have the dagger part. You'll have to do the research to find out what if anything I need to do to get a weapon through your customs.

Make a nice wooden shield and stick them around it so it's a weapon as well ;)

Yea... off with the blade. It will serve no purpose for me. And I would hate for customs to not let it through... stickin' customs....grrr.

Anyways... just the trophy would be great. Thanks Galak!

2 diamond wheels to get the blade off? sheesh, ive done my fair share of cutting in the past, it's amazing the blade is that resiliant. ive put my diamonds to hell and back on my computer case and they typically last a while. guess ill have to hit up home depot when this thing comes in, i only have 3/4 of a wheel left so i prolly cant do the job without at least one more wheel on hand :)

Weeeeelll ... I'm new with my Dremel so I think you'll be fine with just the one you have. I've broken several of my cutting circles learning how to use the thing over the last couple weeks (broken 6 on my last project).

I also might be not using a diamond circle. Its the pack that came with the Dremel ... or those diamond? I thought so .. if not ... well then you should be fine ... :D Excuse the rookie guy with the Dremel for not knowing what he does and does not have.

Biggest thing I didn't like was that there is ZERO way I could find the clamp the dagger to Dremel it. The dremel needs to lay on the blade to get the right angle to cut it off at the top and you cannot clamp the top piece because plaster cast will get destroyed by the pressure of the clamp. So I had to hold it in one hand by the top and Dremel it off with the other ... not my preferred way of working with high speed tools that can cut through steel.

I take it you can t clmap the blade while leaving the pommel hanging off the workbench? Maybe a powerful magnet to rest the blade on?

Two for me please (one is for VB). I will sort money with indigo so we will probably send one lump sum between the three of us. Delivery on of us makes it easier for you as well.
