thank you Gus, I feel enlightend :D

It was just that I thought since a hmp is always inaccurate there is no catcher. I never saw it this way before.

Thanks very much

I spose that the passblocker could move to put a TZ on the target square, or if there was noone in it they could move into the target square...

the question is, why would someone throw a HMP to within 3 squares of a passblocker...

I see hmp only as a desperate measure, even on stunty teams. I use it only on the last turn and try to get the spp for the touchdown.
It works rarely, but if it works it is great fun :D .

cheers

no, by no means would this be allowed... Pass Block says about moving into the TZ of the receiver, if i'm not mistaken, so there has to be a receiver in the first place to move into his TZ.

If there is a player in the targetsquare (not the square where the ball ends up) then there is a receiver, your pass is just not accurate (the same as an inaccurate pass).
This can be deducted by that you are not allowed to use diving catch unless you are the intended receiver of an inaccurate pass.
And since HMP and diving catch should work together then a player in the targetsquare must be a receiver which you may pass block.

To sum up as i see it:
You cannot pass block a HMP into interceptposition because a HMP cannot be intercepted.
You can pass block the passer, but it has no effect on the actual HMP
If there is a player in the targetsquare then you may pass block him.
If there is no player in the targetsquare you may not pass block the target (you cannot excert a TZ on a player that is not there, and allthough it is the same in NHL catching a ball passed by the opponent and intercepting it is not the same in blood bowl and a pass block only allows you to try an interception).

Thanks for this clearfying this. It made me read the diving catch description again.
We played it wrong all the time :-? . We just missed the "if the ball was thrown to him" bit  .
