I like the Phigs idea as the first round, then do open, then do GW Star Player, then do open...then maybe Shadowforge...

i keep meaning to buy that holiday home on the german - netherlands border (that is where utrecht is isn't it) but i seem to be spending all my money on mini's.

Sounds good to me as I have a whole valks team to paint, and a few widows...

Maybe we can include in the list of possible minis one of Fondu's future sculpts...

i want to keep the indie companies going (yeah i know fondu isn't a company but you know what i mean) so in the future we'll have shadowforge and fondu ones for sure.

don't let the glamorous website and tastefully understated packaging fool you, phigs is still just a couple of boxes in the corner of my spare bedroom... "company" is a bit of a stretch for me as well...

since i've finally noticed this topic, anyone who is going to just order one or two figures for the painting contest should contact me directly, if a few days extra transit isn't a big deal, i will charge shipping based on regular or air mail as opposed to the more expensive priority varieties i usually use if you want, should get shipping cost down to a buck or two, since i know i'd be annoyed to spend more for shipping than for the mini i was buying...

I'd be up for this. No need for a prize, but I wouldn't object if somebody wanted to donate one. Hey, if the theme was minis from a specific indie manufacturer, perhaps we could sponge one off them.

Might be better to have a theme that doesn't restrict your choice of mini though, so people can enter with whatever they have laying around. The theme could be a colour (e.g. pink) or a pattern (e.g. stripes). How about an evil twin theme? Take a "good" mini and make it "evil", or vice versa.
