Online you can get the game for $21.00

I've done new team auctions in the past also. Like for the Nipponese and Spirit teams from the MBBL2. However I always stated the team was unofficial, the figures were either metal or plastic, and that they came from other miniature companies outside of Games Workshop.
I don't have a problem with his auction if he was a little more forth coming. The biggest one that upsets me is that since he says they are Blood Bowl figures ... it really needs to say that the figures are plastic ... that's a MASSIVE omission in the sales text.
And my last note ... he sure as h*ll did not use JJ's price formula to create that team ... the lineman alone comes out to 90k on JJ's formula. There is no way that team is balanced. Fun yes ... balanced ... no.
I also think it should say factory painted ... not painted. Most folks with WizKids redoing the market would know the difference ... I should stop now ...
..... sigh ... a fool and his money is all I can say.

I'm the guy from the eBay auction
Wow! Who would have thought that so much controversy could have been generated with an eBay auction?
Let me start off by saying that all of the REAL controversy has been settled. I have agreed that
- I will no longer mention Tom Ander’s name or anyone else's.
- I will let people know that I did not create the figures, or paint them.
- I will let people clearly know that it is the Team that is unique, not the figures.
- I will tell anyone who asks, that the figures are plastic. Since BB figures come in both plastic and pewter, it is the buyer's responsibility to ask. I have done some checking and it is not uncommon for BB figure auctions to omit plastic or pewter. Ebay makes it easy enough to ask the seller questions.
What I am selling is the Team Concept, original artwork, original team bio information, and statistical graphs and data proving that they are balanced. The figures just happen to be the only Cyborg figures I could find. Yes, they are from Battleball, but why does this matter? I have always loved Cyborgs (read GEEK) and when I started playing Blood Bowl, my first thought was “How can I play this with Cyborgs?” So I pulled out the Warhammer books and tried to figure out how BB was made, so I could use the same rules to make a Cyborg team. After weeks of looking everywhere, I concluded I would have to start from scratch. It was rough going at first, but luckily, I found Purple Horror’s Balance Rater (which BTW, I absolutely LOVE!! Kudos to Purple Horror) and other very helpful web pages that gave me the tools I needed. For those of you who say this team is unbalanced for whatever reason, I say try them! (Tabletop or Java BB) According to the PHBR, the team is not only balanced, but TOO expensive! I spent many hours and many games play-testing them, they work very well. It is not easy to create a team that is well balanced, fun to play, and original.
Unfortunately I do not have time to play BB anymore, due to my new business and my kids. So I sold my beloved team. After seeing the bids and the response the community had to the team, I decided to keep the auctions flowing. I am of course changing the wording of the auction, but I will continue to sell Unofficial Cyborgs to the masses. (Get your bids in now!! Sale! Sale! Sale! )
All kidding aside, I believe that I am helping to keep BB alive by sparking interest in the game. You all know how hard it can be to find people to play.
If anyone wishes to play test them with Java Blood Bowl, let me know and I will email you some info.
Hmm, after proof reading this…I think my new auction is done!

I won't question that you found them balanced ... I just know that its not for the rules of my league that uses a LOT of new teams.
The MBBL2 currently allows in 80+ roster and you have to pass two tests.
1) Pink Horror's spreadsheet must show Value and Power under 80 and both not close to 80.
2) The Team Discount analysis ... positional player discount must be under 60k and Linemen must be within 5k of Team Discount pricing (and not more than 70k in price).
This team passes the first test. Pinky gives the team's Power 77.66 and Value at 45.47.
However the second test doesn't work:
Over positional discount on the Team Discount method is 95k and the Lineman are 20k undercosted per the Team Discount formula.
So ... just a footnote on balance ... I would not allow the team into my league as I only allow teams that pass both tests in.

Its at the same place you got Pink Horror's spreadsheet from.kwaske wrote:![]()
I was unaware of the Team Discount Analysis when I made the team. Looks like it is back to the drawing board.
These are not hard and fast rules by the way ... just I've found if a team says balanced through both method that often it can be tested.
Here's the page I'm talking about:

Wouldn't selling a "team concept" violate GW's intellectual property rights? I think I will call and ask them.
And kwaske, you are right= it is easy to send messages thru e-bay to buyers and sellers. That's why I just sent a message to your high bidder telling him he can buy the entire game for $20.00 from Toys R Us.
Why would you want to "generate interest" in a game that you no longer play?
I would never say anything personally demeaning to someone in a forum (and I won't start now); but your listings for these items are deceptive and unethical.

No, it does encourage intrest in the game.OdoGoodgrubb wrote:Wouldn't selling a "team concept" violate GW's intellectual property rights? I think I will call and ask them.
That's interfereing with his auction which he's fixed to incluce the original source of the minis and he can now report you for it.OdoGoodgrubb wrote:And kwaske, you are right= it is easy to send messages thru e-bay to buyers and sellers. If you'd read the auction description he does play using SkiJunkie's java version. I'm sure he still has an original copy of the game as is stated right on top of Ski's webpage.OdoGoodgrubb wrote:Why would you want to "generate interest" in a game that you no longer play?
You've called him unethical. He's shown that he's willing to change the auction description to make it honest. If someone wants to pay more to him for selling the minis seprately, it's all their fault for not doing their homework. The current auction states a couple of times that the minis come from the Battleball game. I think what you've just said you've done is pretty unethical.OdoGoodgrubb wrote:I would never say anything personally demeaning to someone in a forum (and I won't start now); but your listings for these items are deceptive and unethical.

actually he mentions battleball once with it's cost
but that's good enough for me. If people don't read the auction...shame on them.
