Trolls for sale

Post by vorner23 »

Ok, so now I've got something special for you lot.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... %3AIT&rd=1

Now i know ripper is rare, but this second troll minature is I think very very rare.

Sure I saw it go for over £70 in one auction. So, be generous!

Not so sure about the rarity of the second troll as I personally have 4 of that troll and the OLD OLD star player model with the skull fist look. If it went for 70 squigly marks I might have to start auctioning them off at first oppurtunity.

He's still my favorite troll but I'm partial to the greasy hair look on trolls :).

To be honest, the 2nd ed Troll in your auction has a street value of 8-12 GBP.

Harsh guys. I'm pretty sure that was sarcasm. Although I do believe someone got 70GBP for one after seeing a Chaos Dwarf go for 21GBP recently.

Nope, just the blocker or blitzer. I don't remember which. I can find it for you if you'd like.

Yeah.... ok that previous statement might not have been accurate.... but I coulda sworn......

OK it was definately a troll and it went for over £70, maybe not that one. Someone must remember which one, it was about 6-8 months ago I reckon.

In the meantime, check out another auction!

At first I thought it was sarcasm/irony too, but after reading the auction text it was sure that Vorner told us what he meant.

The Troll for 70GBP could be only Troll#3, which brings btw. 60-100GBP at ebay and is 30 times more sought after than this Troll.

You can advert your minis as you like on ebay, but here there are a couple of guys who know their (BB mini) business. If you claim a fact about rarity it will be laid obvious quite fast if it's accurate or not.

The mino is rare bc he's OOP like any other 2nd ed mini, nothing more, nothing less. He'll fetch 8-12GBP, like your Troll. He shows up regularly at ebay.

uff, i´m happy , i´m out of this !

.... just a thought. IMO let the people do their advertisment for ebay item, whatever they think,it is good for their auctions. The buyers, knewing their stuff, will laugh or stay away, and the people, dont knowing the story, will buy or not. Thats ebay.
You see, on the other side, i dont tell the seller, selling a realy very rare mini very cheap under the wrong name or section, that he could make a lot more money if he post the mini under the right name.

Ahar well spotted!

At least someone managed to spot the trick question!

Ok, I admit it, total balls. I did think those other two were rare.... and once again I admit to being wrong.

BUT. Hasn't anyone ever bought a second hand car? There's nothing wrong in selling up. Besides its not as if these minis have dodgy engines. They're fine, one careful owner, low milage and definately no lemons.

As I (and some others) have written above, you're free to advertise your minis like you see it fit. Nobody claimed that your minis are fake, bad or somehow wrong.

but if you bump into a mechanics convention (just to stick to your comparison) and pull off your selling up of an used car, be prepared that some people don't buy it.

Maybe you should have asked here beforehand, that might have you kept from labeling the not-so-rare Big guys as extraordinary rare and gave you the clue to sell the rare Dark Elf Catcher#3 (if it is, the pic is too small for me to give a 100% judgement) as what it is and as a single. 8)
