My new Halfling team skills choice

Post by fe2mike »

I just played my first game with my halflings, and we kicked butt! 2-1 win against a human team(w/ Ogre, who died at the hands of my Treeman in the 1st half) along with 5 cas. (3 kills). The dice where hot last night. Anyway, one of my halflings(TD,2 cas,MVP) got a new skill and rolled 12. I am debating on whether to take the +1 S or maybe something else, Block so he could stay on his little feet longer? Pass, Sure Hands, and Hail Mary(just to get the ball out of here, also can a halfling even get that skill) are also possibilities. Thanks Guys

+1 s is good, however it will make that guy a target. For me it would be either that or the hail mary (yes they can its not a trait).

Even if it makes him a target, you're no worse off than you were before: he'll have better strength to help defend himself, and it'll tie up more of your opponent's players if he does become a target. Most likely he'll have treemen to have to worry about already, anyway. If you don't take the ST3, instead of targetting him, your opponent will just target *all* your halflings anyway. ;)

I agree.
Some other choice can be something to make him more "slippery"... but they are already so! :D

Yes, +1 S for sure!

Galak : I saw that you listed your freebooted players in your lineup. Is it only for the PBeM or should we count it in my board league as weell ? I guess this is for team rating, isn't it ?

Its on the roster so the PBeM tool calculated the TR correctly.

Well, we tied 1-1, but against the Undead I'm happy with the outcome. I scored on my 8th turn in the second half to tie it, and almost won with the throw team-mate on the Blitz turn that I got lucky to get, but I failed my dodge re-roll after picking up the ball next to a ghoul. None the less, only got one serious injury(pinched nerve on a sprint) meanwhile one of my treemen actually killed a mummy in OT with an even strength block. Sometimes I just can't beleive the luck!
