OOP has little to do with recasting. Sure, the mother company is no longer making any money on the mini but you'd be diluting the pool of avaliable minis with poor reproduction. Even if you were able to make a high quality reproduction out of the old lead and essentially make the mini perfect, it would undercut the collectors who have worked hard at acquiring thse pieces.

No issues. You did what you had to. It's a rare so you kind of have to go for them when you see them. We don't really mention when we've found a "hidden" rare because we don't want to attract unwanted attention to it. It would have been a bad deal, though, if you had each won one. Only one of you would have got what you were after. Dave thought he probably did it on purpose. There have been more and more unscrupulous sellers I've been finding lately. What's this world coming to?

If you chose to present the copies as originals it would, and if you sold them it would be a violation of their IP rights. But If you copy one for your own use I don't see how its any collectors business.
