uff, you loosing money

Looks like ist, but as I don't have a credit card, a PayPal Account doesn't really make sense, unfortunately.

did you get my ebay account mail about you mini ? I got a replay from the web.de anti spam filter from your web.de account.

What's your name on ebay? I got quite a lot of comments on that auction and didn't get around answering them all yet.

How do you did the nice beer (?) cans ?

The beer cans are plastic leftovers from large Games Workshop round bases (from the mould, the things you have to chop off from every base).

85 USD/68 Euro ... a little shy of what I was willing to pay (I probably would have bid around 12 Euros more so not too much higher) ... oh well ... I hope the final big was enough to make the seller happy.

Very nice fig ... great job ... get a credit card ... get a PayPal account ... it really does increase the amount of money you end up getting.

And it still would have sold for one Euro higher than the #2 bidder bid. What's your point, that the seller missed out because he didn't get the opportunity to sell something to you personally?

As a seller I find that more and more people are paying the old fashioned way. This isn't a bad thing as PayPal charges a mint to receive money through them. I've been seriously questioning whether the cost is worth the reward. Still, I offer it as a service to my customers and it does open your item up to the whole world which CAN bring in more bids. That's the only tangible thing it does. It just doesnt' seem to be a big deterrent. If people don't want something, they aren't going to buy it. If they do, they'll find a way to pay for it. If you miss selling it to one Galak, there will be someone else to pick it up from you. The two Euros you missed is less than what paypal would have charged so you're probably better off.

And yes Snots ... I agree PayPal is expensive, but in general I've found a lot of folks that won't even look at my auctions unless PayPal is an option.

I know I won't because it's just too much hassle to send cheques or whatever...

I'm perfectly willing to pay the Paypal fees if that's what it takes to get something with Paypal...it's just less hassle for me.

Have to agree, less hassle to use Paypal and with the amount they charge for money orders it might be cheaper to use Paypal.

yeah but the buyer pays for money orders and with paypal the seller pays the fees.

I thought it was free up to a certain limit. If so its perfect for people just selling off the odd piece or 2. If you are making alot of trades just consider it part of the cost of doing business. I'll take the security and speed of paypal any day.

Being an American you don't have to worry about paying fees to transfer your money from Paypal to "foreign" bank.

You guy realize that it's not PAYPAL getting the 3% fee, but the credit card companies, right? (at least not all of it). Everytime you pay something with a credit card, there's a discount of 2-3% deducted from what the seller actually gets.

No. It's PayPal getting the fees. It's true that they are probably paying the CC companies whenever they accept a credit card but they're drawing that fee from the sellers whether the money is already in the PayPal account, transferred from a bank, or drawn off a credit card.

So if you have a personal account, ppl can't pay you via credit card, but from their paypal balance. You can receive and withdraw the funds to your bank account for free.
