Most important "turn-over-causing" skill?

Post by Nagash »

Any thoughts?

I would go for block, since its the skill that most people tend to choose for the first star player roll.... but since I haven´t attended so many tournaments, I´m curious about what the general opinion is.....

I have to be sure. Do you mean the most importent skill to get to avoid turnovers, or the skill that (when your players have it) causes your oppenent to suffer turnovers.

The most important skill for stopping yourself turning over is block. All teams have to block to win - but you don't have to make very many dodges or pickup the ball as often as you have to block.

As for making your opponent turnover I'd say there was no best skill. Some skills can be very good (tackle, diving tackle, shadowing, pass block, foul appearance) but are useless if they aren't backed up a generally good defence - leaving 1 die blocks or difficult dodges necessary.

I often find defence is more about getting the attacker into a position where you can blitz the ball carrier than forcing a turnover.
