Happened at the Spiky tournament. My lizzies managed to clear the WE's off the pitch in my 5th turn, hence the new nickname in my sig and leaving me 3 turns to run in the score to get the bonus point. If we'd just declared the game then I'd have lost that point, and maybe position. (And note, I din't stall, just the frikking Skink forgot how to handle the ball).

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

We play that you can loose all your players off the field and your opponent goes on till he touch's down, or half ends...
if you can't put three guys on the field for the following kickoff, then it's game over you loose, forced conceede, but you still get money and fans because it's not a chossen conceede.

If I'm up by 4 TDs and you take out my last guy and score and I have no one to take the pitch with only 3 turns left in the game ... no way do I think a team should be able to win through violence alone. Uh uh. Game goes on. Nothing in the rules says its a concession nor should it be one.
Spoken like a true wuss elf coach

Blood Bowl is a game of violence and wacky occurrences....I see no problem with a DE or Chaos team declaring themselves winner by virtue of having hospitalized the entire opposing roster...Since I've never seen this happen, and only heard of 2 total occurrences, it hardly makes the less bashy teams shiver in their boots

Ed Basha, Spoken like a true orc, and there it is...Just declare yourself the winner!
Even if the welfs win on the scoreboard you can both go home happy. I know I do when I kick someone's arse, even if they score more points. Some coaches won't like that approach, but they like to
It sucks when the dice bite you though and the welfs out casulty you also.

It's definetely one of those house rulesy things....It's such a rare occurrence that a coach cannot field a single player. Best to just decide between your own league how to handle it.

Totally agree with that!GalakStarscraper wrote:Also the fluff definitely talks about teams playing Blood Bowl when no member of the other team is playing. So in the fluff it could happen ... no reason to exclude it from the real game that I can see.

And that is the most important IMHO.
Let continue playing....
'Did you know': The Longshot's Lightning bugs finished the Spiky Final with 1 Player standing on the pitch, 1 reserve, 3 Ko et 6 casualties...
But they won!

considering the sheer number of ten plus rolls required, I don't think it's something to lose any sleep over....It just makes for a sort of dull and in my opinion stupid game if only one is playing it. If some of the beaten lads have a chance of coming back from ko'd, then great, but an entire cas'd team makes for a dull last half, especially if it happens early

Seen it once in the 1st half. I was playing a 3rd edition Treeman team with 9 Trees. 7 of them fail their Take Root rolls. My opponent through several blocks, blitzes, and fouls takes out my 2 Tree both to Badly Hurt by turn 2 of the 1st half. We played out the remaining 6 turns of his for the first half with him managing to score twice during them. Then my 7 other players showed up for the 2nd half and we continued our game.Xtreme wrote:The rare times I have seen it were late in the 2nd half so there wasn't much of a concern about to much of a boring game. I would be shocked to see this happen to a full team early in the game.

I see the wink ... but I would like to go on record that in all my years of BB play ... I've never played any of the 3 (now 4) Elf teams.'Ed Basha' wrote:Spoken like a true wuss elf coach![]()
I played a Slaanesh Elf team for 6 games in a league, but I'm definitely not an elf coach by anyone's definition. In fact, I cannot wait for an official Ogre team because I love the idea of fielding that team. Even with that team thought ... I would not want an automatic win if my opponent ran out of players and I had not earned the win on the scoreboard. Wiping out the other team but losing the game should be an example of winning the battle but losing the war in my opinion. And again the fluff supports this happening in the game.
