Hi Dwarfcoach.
IMO, what you stated is a "creative reading" not a "strict reading".
I mean, can you point to anywhere where it states something like "automatically fails the landing roll"?

What the LRB does state is: "If they land on top of another player then both the and the other player is knocked over...."

It doesn't say you automatically fail an imaginary landing roll.
On the other hand "knocked over" is covered by the rules for turnovers.

Martin :)

Hi Plas,

The main reason for the wide spread confusion towards this rule is the weird part of rules/gaming which I tend to term as the

' Oh, but that is common sense/obvious...'

...syndrome.

The rules leave alot for the reader to fill in themselves, they are not A->B->C->D letter of the alphabet style stuff.

Then add in a couple of very dubious translations of said rules (just to help matters) and what do you have? Well some 'not very harmonious' games....

I have my own very clear cut ideas but have refrained from airing them (maybe a NAF thing, I dunno) but I posted this here to so I could find out what the general populace thinks..............

no offense intended, but your reading is the only one that I really don't get:
IMO, either some special TTM rules apply, or the normal TO rules apply.
I can't figure out why the normal TO rules would apply to fumbling, while special TTM rules would apply to collissions.

Martin :)
None taken...

The DZ description said that TTM was a TO on fumble... and since our league started on DZ we hadn't read the LRB so closely to discover that the fumble result is not mentioned there at all... (until i did just read that now...)

Given that background, TO on fumble isn't calling TO rules, but understood to be a part of TTM rules.
