Revealing your roster?

Post by JarkkoH »

I tried to search for this, but I couldn't find an answer, so here we go.

Do you have to reveal your roster to other league coaches? I think so, but I couldn't find it in the rules.

How it is in other leagues, do you have your rosters in some place for other coaches to see? Or do you just show it to your opponent before the game?

A web page showing updated rosters would be the most convenient for me...

Cheers,
J

yer not showing your roster is childish imho

its the same as not telling your opponent what skills your players have

if you can't win fairly then whats the point :/

Yes, I know. Our league started a week ago, but no one (except me) has sent his roster in our web page.

It's not in the rules, as almost no league organization issues are in the rules.

However, rosters should not be kept secret, otherwise you open the door for serious cheating ... things like rearranging star player point distribution ... changing skill choices adding a 10k cash here and then ...
:pissed:

If you can't put them online, at least the league commish should keep a copy of them for reference.

It's like football, everyone starts the match hooded so nobody knows who are the stars and on what position they are playing, and if a player scores a goal he is revealed. Sounds silly? As silly as hiding your roster if you ask me...

Don´t think it specific says it in the rules but i think everybody should so that nobody can say during or after a game that you cheated with your skills/players.

If anybody wouldn't reveal his roster to me, I would start using a dicecup, not showing the results to the opponent :D

Seriously, you should sort out such coaches from your league very quickly...

Mostly coaches who haven't submited their rosters are plain lazy. Ask your commiss or just have a look on their roster just before the match.

It would be nice to know at least the team rating and race before agreeing to play a game with someone.

I just started to play this game, and it would be my first real game ever, so I don't want to play against someone with much higher team rating. I don't expect to win, but I want to have at least some players left after the game ;)

J

Ask your commissioner to provide you with some info. If he doesn't know, then you have serious problems

I guess when the league has started rolling everyone will contribute his/her roster.

But rosters are definitely not meant to be kept secret!

Once in a tournament there was a player who said one of his wardancers had strip ball. After his opponent fouled that player out of the game. He did a blitz and leaped in a cage, after only a push back on the die result he simply says he has strip ball, after seeing his roster sheet, it was indeed the other wardancer than the one he pointed out before, who had the skill.

lesson: sheets should always be free!

What to do with such a w*****? I hope he won the wooden spoon due to ZERO sportsmanship points.

Just wait for the Blood bowl 2004 when I stand up at 6am and reserve my place at table 1 with my towel. 8)

that's why there's a  .

Serious then: I could see a tactical challenge in getting to see the roster only before the match and thus needing to remember the skills from then / as they come along. Note that this would only work with mates you know (think :P ) you can trust on their sportmanship.

I prefer the normal way though
