Hoist by my own petard!

Well and truly.

Players in the ABBL will be aware of the loan rules I developed from some in the first annual.

I changed them somewhat.

If you borrow 20K or less the interest is 100%
up to 50K its 75%
you get the idea

The minimum is 40% - over 100K loan!

Sometimes you might want to borrow - to freeboot a star to win you a final and get the extra winnings, you know... :D

Well a lot of loans have been sold. Usually for 10K (surprise)

I took out a 20K loan (I'll easily be able to pay back 40K)

Well I got 30K in my next game and could only pay that much off. 10K remained which became 20K

Next game? 10K winnings!!!!

But at least I was paying off the interest...

Last game? 60,000 (hooray) - special play card - "robbed"

Anyway I failed to pay the interest and guess what - along came the heavies to "remind me" to pay up....

And lo one of my players got a niggling injury... (one random player has an "accident")

And I still have 40K to pay off!

:pissed:

Ironically it was the shallya priest! How unfair can you get - the heavies come along and beat up a man of healing! What is the world coming too!

He must miss the next match :(

If I get robbed again I'll have to start selling players...

(ABBL ruling - you may sell players to "the void" at half their original cost providing they are unspoiled (no niggles decreases etc) - this is about as good as freebooting but the player obviously may get SPPs which you lose - and if he gets injured you can't sell him - to counter this we also have negative winnings recorded as negative winnings!)

It gets worse. Last night my 151 rated team  played a game - a pathetic 32,000 turned out for the match and it was a draw.... -1 on the winnings table... Rolled a 3....

Paid 20K interest, outstanding 20K doubled to 40K... back to square one *sigh*...

Gonna have to sell players soon and I've only got 13!!!!

So I took out a 20,00 gp loan and have sofar paid 60,000 and still 40,000 outstanding...
