Discuss Fantasy football-style board games - GW's Blood Bowl, Impact!'s Elfball, Privateer Press' Grind, Heresy's Deathball, etc. THIS IS NOT AN NFL FANTASY FOOTBALL SITE!
I like the change to Piling On, and that's coming from a Dwarf coach!!
Don't like the rest of the changes though, especially those gawd awful desperate measure tables... I sincerely hope this is not about to go "live" though, as I could see a lot of leagues not conforming and then we end up with the "terrible 5th Edition" scenario all over... different leagues house-ruling things, leaving things out and generally inventing their own set of rules...
Basically, I REALLY do not like this at all...

I'm not OK with any of the other 7 things being mooted. I want randomness out the game (it is random enough already, we use dice!) not some stupid anvil falling on my Dwarf cage..
Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid.

2) Undecided. It is never fun to kill your opponents players (except that bloody Gutter Runner who just scored on you), but maybe it slows up the skillprogress.
this man is undoubtably the only one I've ever seen say this in blood bowl. Turely he must be a saint
1) Advanced SPP table
No dont like it's already hard enough to get the majority of your players to a second skill level already
2) No injury mods change
Dont like this either cant see any problem with how it stands at the mo, and this helps create player turnover
3) No more auto +1 to AV for fouling, remove IGMEOY and Referee rolls, eject only on AV doubles, Dirty Player is for AV only.
Dont like this either, the people who dont foul because of fear of IGMEOY are fearing it for the wrong reasons, this i think was one of the best rules created in Bloodbowl, as it actually creates an environment, where serious foulers wont give a toss about IGMEOY anyway, and it enables afety conscious coaches to sit on the counter.
4) No more aging
happy to see it removed, although i dont care either way
5) No more handicap table ... new tables for game effects based on TR
definitely needs addressing, although the new tables i've seen in the pdf file dont address the problem with inconsistent handicap rolls as far as i can see. Plus i seriously do not like handicap rolls that can cause immediate turnovers or be used in your opponents turn, this was one of the reasons (IMO) third edition died.
6) Piling On changed to AV reroll
This is apile of cack. I dont use piling on, but the day a halfling can pile on as well as a Mummy, just isn't plausible, there still needs to be some attention paid to size or strength. It was the +5 monstyers that caused the problem, it wiould have been resolved by making the piling on before the av, and possible reducing the modifiers. +1 for up to ST3, +2 for ST4, and +3 for St5 and above.
7) New winnings table 15k bands
I can live with this i haven't a strong opinion either way
8. ) Negative winnings rules
Dont think this is good at all, far too drastic, if it means that a side can actually owe money after a game, or have to release players

Excellent!! This is the best PO idea posted on this thread. One I could get behind - but I'd go +2, +3, +4 to the AV to seperate it from MB.

Many moons ago I suggested 1/2 the strength of the player, rounded up.
