I dont think pile on would be picked very often. :(

I think the injury table would be okay if the MB, RSF, DP were changed too what is suggested.

With the fact tyhat two skills cannot be added, would claw be gotten rid of, as they both appear too be doing the same with this amendment?

is it cynical to think that by making sweeping changes it gets us discussing things and keeps interest in BB alive?

I don't think incremental changes are the answer when the changes are naff - why change something that has been tweaked repeatedly until most people are happy with it?

Theres some pretty big stuff being tinkered with it seems...PO does seem to be more balanced at a glance...makes a little bit more sense too..."Grr...me not hear juicy crack...me try again and jump on him dis time!"

The SPP tiers seem rough...no more MVP+Completion=first skill Could be a pretty huge change...str teams need 6 Cas for first skill? The old Injury Table could be nostalgic...but I think people are pretty happy with where it is now...I for one kind of like the idea of the negative winnings...although i could see a team really get into hard times and not being able to get back on track...who knows...nothings been changed yet...could be a fun way to try and play!

also noticed that only 8 of the 40 teams are "experimental"

1 Chaos Pact
2 Rotters
1 Vampire
4 Elf

No khemri, necromantic, old world, ogre or lustrian then... can't see how it's adequately being playtested! I'm now starting to suspect that this might just be like a regular league with it's own house rules and there is nothing to be afraid of with the "might become official" blurb.

Remember that most GW staff members will probably have not played BB since 3rd ed and will be more comfortable with those rules (that's completely guesswork though, I admit)

Sigurds is the casualty roll. Previously, a score of 12 on the injury roll was a death. However, this was OK except that RSC or MB made it much more likely for serious casualties to occur - hence the injury roll only determines whether a player is stunned, KO'd or injured. Sigurds determines the extent of the injury.

Sigurds comes from the gentleman who proposed it - its his name.

There are no modifiers to the injury roll at all, so fouling is less deadly because previously you would do most of your fouling with a DP and lots of assists.

At least it looks like they are using the undead team along with the vamps, necro and khemri.

*edited from ott first reaction*

SPP changes - what a load of toss. Stunt team growth like this and the game becomes VERY boring. Suddenly it takes forever to get any skill rolls. I have players on my 19 game old team who haven't even reached 6 SPP yet...

Chet's "Big Idea" - the more I think about it, the more I hate it. Its a huge overhaul of the rules that I will be beyond flabbergasted if it actually works without major revisions to the skills to rebalance everything. The rules are FINE AS THEY ARE.

Piling on change - good.

Negative winnings? like it.

I really hope that Andy will consider listening to the rest of us before he considers making this stuff official though.
