I'm trying to get all of the snotlings from 2ed now and at the same time convience our league to let me use them. I figure by the time I am done buying and trading snots I will have wore them all down and my lil boys will be able to take the field. :D

Back to the topic...

what do you think about the little modification:

0-16 snotlings 413 "6" ??? (...look 3 Posts higher to continue..)

Could it fix the problem ? Can Snots go for a whole season with these stats ?

Comments pleeeeeeaaaase ! :pissed:

If you want to fix the snotling team, you have to make them crappier, not the opposite.

Yes I agree there is no problem with them bieng armour 5. But if you increase it I think you will create the problem. I like the roster as it is on Galak's site and would just go with that.

I don´t think Galak´s roster is good for league-play. If you want to go for a whole season, the the snots have to be a little more resistant. In our league we use the rules of the LRB and there is no titchy anyway...
Because of that i would like to fix the snots to be as good as halflings, but with other stats.
Perhabs it should be better to increase their ST to 2 and leave AV 5 ? Or MA to 5 and only stunty ?
Suggestions ?

Sorry nice paradox ... we use the rules of the LRB but you want a Snotling team in your league.

The roster on Galak's site is fine for league play ... why does Galak know this ... because he plays the roster on Galak's site in league play. My MBBL2 team is a Snotling roster.

If you want to properly add a Snotling roster to your league, then you need to add the Titchy rules. Just my opinion.

Hi Galak,

thanks for your comments. How did you manage to go over the whole distance of a single game with your snot stats ? In games i´ve played so far (sometimes i´ve played the snots, sometimes my opponent)with your snot roster, there only were few players left at halftime...

P.S: to your confusion: OK, let´s say we play with the LRB and think about adding two or three additional Teams using the basic LRB-rules... :P

Probably because you used Stunty instead of Titchy. Titchy on a Snotling means 2+ dodges everywhere. Use the 4 Trolls to plow the way. Use the extra players to get 3 dice Troll blocks and to leave one ordinal Snot on the Troll to prevent 2 dice blocks. Yeah you'll probably have 6 to 7 casualties a game, but you can still play a good game. My team is currently 1 win - 2 losses, and I still have a full 16 player roster after 3 games.

I always kind of liked my original Snotling rules. :D They had a good 2 years of playtesting, and they won just about as often as they were meant to (you can imagine!). They were always a 'fun' rather than a competitive team. Akin to gobbos.

5 1 3 5 Dodge, Titchy, RS, Side Step actually works! In practice! Their is absolutely no point in having ST 1 players unless you can have more than 11 players on the pitch. Snots are really fun to play the 'semi-official' way, which is as it should be.

It does seem that JJ and Andy Hall have left snotlings for the time being. Maybe this is deliberate, maybe they just haven't got round to them after the LRB 'reset' all the journal rules.
