Amber Wizard

Post by Rabid_Bogscum »

All,

I recently won my league Dungeon Bowl title and now want to pick up a suitable Wizard mini to induce.

It is a Dark Elf team which in the rules equates to an Amber Wizard... can anyone recommend some suitable Amber Wizards?

Thanks

Rabid

I gotta say I'm a little at a loss, why is it an Amber Wizard? Are these some rules unique to your league? Dark Elves and the Amber college just don't seem like a natural match ...

This (Top right) was the original, may be worth looking on e-Bay for him on the off chance, no idea how unique or pricey he is?

Looks very druidic, rather than magey, if you see what I mean? I'm sure someone will know a suitable figure to suggest?

IIRC GW had a small box with 6 plastic wizards that looked just like those. I have a plasic "jade" at home, it seems.

Was a few years back, but who knows.

DL-ing the Colleges of Magic rules might give you more ideas, too. See the "tournaments"section for that ;)

They currently sell a set of Empire wizards that let you make a few different configurations...

You poncy git

After reading this brief description
Amber Wizards are closely connected to the wilderness and wild animals.
I suggest this guy from Wyrd Miniatures. They are listed as 32mm Heroic scale, but I know from experience that they are the same scale as your average BB miniature.

I'd have said Amethyst was more Dark Elvish...

Not sure you should put too much stock in what the old DB teams were TBH. Just pick up a nice DE sorceror model. There are some pretty spiffy ones iirc.
