Might be able to make this

one question though regarding the rules

for stunty teams that are able to take inducements, is this based off the other team's value for the match, thereby offering coaches to tactically not spend every last 10k on their team

or is it the broken standard tournament rules that let you add them to the roster as permanent purchases?

As of this moment.....no idea! :o

Haven't read the rules pack for about 3 months!!

I'll get back to you on that one, as it was discussed by a few who put ideas in.

a lot of tournaments have been giving boosts to the stunty teams and then there is an outcry when flings do well at them

I don't see why you don't let teams spend as much of the 1.1m as possible and then just use the normal inducement rules for everyone

then if flings want to cost in getting deeproot and a chef by making a 800k team, then opponents who decide to only spend 1.09m make the flings have to decide what they want to spend the inducements on

Surely encouraging people to play stunty teams is a good thing?

never said it wasn't, that would still encourage them, but also offer more tactical choices to be made in the roster for everyone else as well

What like leaving off the 1 fan factor you buy at the end so that the halfling player has to leave out either Puggy, Deeproot or the chef?

That sounds like a good tactical choice.

given how many people will probably do it, if you at least gave them a choice it is their own fault rather than biasing the rules so they have no choice and then just boosting the halflings so everyone moans they are overpowered

I think that the rules set for this tourney are probably the best I've seen. There are boosts for the stunty teams (inducements and star players) that encourage people to take them. It's not just halflings that benefit.

It is Lrb 5 (with a couple of tweeks) so there should be no moaning about overpowered halflings. The thing to remember is that at Waterbowl with all the 'broken' halflings (about 7-8 iirc), it was an ogre team that won the stunty cup.

With skill points every coach has the option to take 7 single skills to 3 doubles and a single, or something in between. There is enough of a tactical decision with any team with the skill set being used.

Stop picking on Stunties Jon, what with glass houses and all that.

Forgot to mention the only thing I don't like is not having the three new teams allowed.
