Two/Three Dice, You choose...

Post by tarrin »

How many people rely on pure luck to get themselves
through games.
In our league (Splan) i'm a big fan of this.

Tarrin

Its common amongst halflings to need this. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't.
Last tourney i played with them, they lost 30+TR, 3 FF, 6 dead players and lost one game 9-0.
I kid thee not!

I try not to depend on luck, but when you have one turn left, your gutter runner doing the seemingly impossible is your best option, and you gotta pray! :D

It's not the best to rely purely on luck just as it's not the best to rely purely on safe options. The best balance is managed risk: Play safe but take a gamble when there's big payoffs.

Crazed snotlings

Post by Rogerg1979 »

One of the snotlings in our league (Psycho, or more recently Son of Psycho... Revenge of Psycho next?) has made a carreer out of 3 dice blocks against, including killing 2 amazons in one game with 3 die against blocks...

He's turned into a real target... no one seemingly can kill him.

For the rookie coach the planned risks a veteran makes (like blocking a rookie big guy with a long beard two dices against) seems to be stupid discissions that only succedes because of pure luck.

Did the skellie have a ST decrease

Well, I tend to do risky things last and mostly not at all if possible....
But sometimes, your opponent leaves you no other choice than to do risky things......
In tourneys, you tend to see two groupes of coaches. The all risk takers and those that play a racial conservative strategy.
Last mentioned group seem to get better results in the end.....
