Ironjaw (Leon Newton) and I present the Ironmanj One-dayer II, to be held on Saturday 13th of November 2010.
To be held in Meeting Room 1, on the 2nd floor of:
York Railway Institute
22 Queen Street
York
yo24 1ad

The venue is ideally situated in being right next door to both York train station, 2 public car parks and a large number of shops and pubs. The venue has a lounge bar downstairs, but it is only open on the Saturday from 12.30 til 2. You can, however, bring your own drinks (alcoholic or otherwise) into the room.
Entry Fee
The entry will be £10 for NAF members and £15 for non-members, though this should include NAF membership. Payments can be sent to joehainstock@googlemail.com (note contracting this to '..@gmail.com' won't work). Please designate the payment as "personal" and a "gift" so that neither of us has to pay fees. Please include your real and NAF names in this email along with your NAF# if known.
How To Get There
The venue is next to the train station, so if using that means of transport just walk out of the front doors, turn right onto the street and its the first building you see after the station car park.
If you drive from the South or East, you can take the A1 or M1 and then the A64. Leave this road at the junction marked York West and follow signs for the city centre and then the train station. The venue is on the inner ring road, so if you get lost stay on that and look for the venue (as depicted above).
If you drive from the North, follow the A19 or A59 into York centre and follow signs for the train station.
Parking
There are two car parks next to the venue. Of the two, the station car park should be cheaper. The venue has very limited parking spaces and we won't be the only people using it, so don't count on getting a space! York is served by loads of Park & Ride hubs, so that is another option. It'll cost you £2 each way on the bus, which stops at the station.
Accomodation
If you don't mind a dorm there is a hostel a few minutes walk away: http://www.acehotelyork.co.uk/ There is a Premier Inn right next door to the venue,. but that's a bit pricy though so you might want to check out http://www.booking.com for rooms in order of price. They have built a Travelodge since last year. It's 5 minutes walk away so you should be able to get a cheap room if you book enough in advance.
Things To Bring With You
Your painted team.
Your Blood Bowl board (as we won't have any spare).
Dice.
Templates.
2 copies of your roster.
Ironmanj Rules
The Ironmanj One-Dayer will be using the CRP / LRB 6.0 rules. The 3 new teams (Slann, Underworld and Chaos Pact) will be allowed.
The Illegal Procedure and 4-minute time limit rules will not be enforced, though you may use them if both coaches agree. There will be a time limit for games as a whole though, so if you play slowly we may have to call a result early.
We will be using the standard "Resurrection" rules: teams remain identical from game to game, with casualties, winnings, fan factor rolls etc. not carrying forward.
Undead or Nurgle teams may not keep 'raised' players from game to game.
Team Selection
Coaches may spend up to 1,200,000 gc on their teams.
Coaches may not include Star Players as part of their team unless they have the Secret Weapon or Stab skills (except Zara - she is not allowed). An exception to this rule are Halfling, Goblin, Ogre and Underworld teams, who may hire up to one Star Player who doesn't have either Secret Weapon or Stab.
They may purchase any other Inducements except Wizards as part of their team for their normal cost. This includes Special Play Cards.
If a coach spends less than the 1.2m he will not be entitled to Inducements on a game by game basis.
Skills
Tier 1 skill = Block, Frenzy, Kick, Strip Ball, Sure Hands, Dodge, Leader, Guard, Mighty Blow and Claw.
Tier 2 skill = anything else.
1 point for the first instance of a tier 2 skill.
2 points for any other instance of a tier 2 skill.
2 points for the first instance of a tier 1 skill.
3 points for any other instance of a tier 1 skill.
+2 points if that skill is a double.
No player may have more than one skill. Star Players may not be given extra skills.
Teams have the following points to spend:
9 points - Undead, Wood Elf, Amazon, Dwarf
10 points - All teams not named elsewhere.
13 points - High Elves, Slann, Humans, Nurgle, Pro Elves, Necromantic, Chaos Pact, Chaos, Khemri
16 points - Underworld, Vampires, Goblin, Halfling, Ogre
Teams in bold have changed groups since last year.
Games and Scoring
Four games will be played on the Saturday. The first round will be drawn randomly, with all further rounds using the Swiss system. The overall winner will be the coach with the most points at the end of the day - there will be no final.
Points are scored as follows:
100 points for a win.
50 points for a draw.
0 points for a loss.
Coaches will be paired within Swiss randomly. So you'll still play someone with the same record as yourself, but randomly drawn rather than based on TD difference or the like. Tiebreaker for the winner of the tournament is head to head record. Score does not support this function so it will only be for the winner/runner up etc. After that coaches will be ranked by TD difference, CAS difference, TDs scored, CAS inflicted, opponent score and alphabetical order of name.
Only CAS that would count for SPPs and crowd pushes count towards these totals.
