Oberonn Smack - Second edition - Belgium/Hasselt 10th nov
IT’s OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNN! ! ! !
Last year I started a small tournament in Hasselt (Belgium – Limburg), and the coaches that attended seem to have enjoyed themselves very much. So much so that when they saw that I hadn’t put a date on the calendar yet, they started annoying me with hundreds of threatening E-mails. (We only had 16 coaches last year, so you understand the impact these letters had on me.)
So I set another date for all the addicts out there. I hope to get a few more coaches although it's just going to be held on 1 day.
So what are we offering:
1 day of Blood Bowl goodness
… isn’t that enough ?
The rules:
- Unless some other rule set comes out, we’ll be using LRB 5.0.
- Every coach gets 1.100.000 GP (so TR or TV 110)
- You get 3 skills before every game, 1 player can't receive more then 1 skill before each game, and the player that gets the skill will be chosen AT RANDOM.
- The weather is always “nice”. Changing weather on the kick off table will just end up in an extra scatter.
- Fouling casualties will be considered as “blocking casualties”, so you can earn “tie break” points for casualties made by fouling.
The glittering prizes:
The more people enter the competition the bigger the prize money gets. The commissioners won’t hold anything back.
Prizes will consist of gift vouchers that can be exchanged in our local gaming store: don’t worry you guys will find your taste in our shop.
- First place
- Second place
- Most casualties (unless the one with the most casualties already has a prize, then it goes to the second most)
- Most TDs (same remark as the most casualties)
- A small prize for the best painted team
If the prize money runs up too high, we can give away some other small prizes to other coaches as well. This will be announced at the beginning of the tournament.
When and where?
10th of November (Saturday)
Oberonn hasselt
www.oberonn.be
Kempische Steenweg 27 - B-3500 Hasselt
Cost : 5 euros
The schedule:
The shop should be open at 9:30
First game should start at 10:30 sharp and takes until 12:30
We’ll be having dinner till 13:30
Second game starts at 13:30 till 15:30
Last game starts at 15:45 till 17:45
We’ll give away the prizes as soon as all the results are in, so that you people can start your trip home early.
If there are any questions at all, you can always email me at : tom.neven@gmail.com
You don’t have to preregister for the tournament, but I would appreciate it if you send an E-mail to me that you are attending this tournament, telling me who you are and which team you’ll be playing, so that I can keep track of how many people are coming.
For the guys that are wondering, this tournament is NAF-Sanctioned.

You come with a TR 110 team (so you buy stuff till you have spend all your money like ussual)
Then before the first game you choose 3 at random players, they each get a skill.
Now repeat the process for each game
Yes, you can see your opponent when you choose skills, so it can be a tactical choice to take certain skills against certain teams. On the other hand, you cant change those skills after the game if you face another race.
I hope this explains... btw lycos, are we seeing each other again at the bubble this year?

Some changes:
Schedual:
9:30 Shop opens (try to be there 10 minutes before the first kick off)
10:00 kick off 30 minutes earlier then on the original roster
12:00 Time for food
12:30 Done with food, start second game
14:30 Done with second game
14:45 START 3th game
16:45 Conclussion
17:00 Everyone can go home
Of course scheduals are verry rough, but we hope to stick with it as much as possible.
Reason for the 30 minute change, is because of a problem with some Belgium coaches, who need to leave early. So sorry for those dutchies who'll have to start there voyage just 30 minutes earlier, but I'll get you guys a coffee when you come in
Grtz and sorry if this messes up some peoples time scheduals

Totti told me some time ago that if the time table was to change, he would come as well.Teluriel wrote:Quermitt; who will join us then?
Yesterday I told him what the new timing looks like and he immediately agreed on attending!
I was hopeing Tuern would be able to attend as well if the time table was put a bit earlier, but turns out he has to play early afternoon already, so we will have the chance of defending his title ...

As far as RabidAlbino and el sid are concerned I haven't heard a thing yet.
El sid is on vacation, returning Sunday evening but I wouldn't hold my hopes up high for him attending as he doesn't really like tourney play. A one day event might still stand a chance though ...
RabidAlbino accompanied us last year so I am hoping he will do the same this year, though I have to admit that he, for the time being, is not replying my emails ...
So we have a certainty for three TTL coaches (is this a team event or what???) and still the possibility of having two more although one sounds more likely.
Grtz!

some questions came up, so I'll try to answer them:
- Star players are NOT Allowed
- Mastercheff can be purchached like an inducement, this is the only inducment that is allowed.
- NO DOUBLES (cause people asked, Having the privelege to see your opponent and take 3 skills - even tough the players are random - is more then enough. Knowing your opponent can also be seen as a disadvantage in your next game if you choose to pick skills that only reply to 1 team.
For instance:
I play against amazons, so I take 3 tacklers, next game I play vs dwarves so all of my 3 skills in the first game are wasted cause you dont see any dodgers moving around.)
If there are more grounds that I didnt cover yet, pls ask me.
see you all on saturday
