It is not because suply is limited that recasting is OK. Ok , I do not agree with discissions from GW. They should support the game. This is why I use mostly non-GW figures for blood bowl.

But again because suply is limited does not make recasting OK.

It is not because there are limited porsches of one kind of model that it is OK to build fake porsches of that model and sell them for real.

Been a while since I commented on this thread. I'm in the UK for Xmas and have checked out the figures I've bought on ebay over the year. It seems they are all okay, though I won't know for certain until I strip off the paint on some of them. I have a couple of question marks over one or two of the 2nd edition elves, but I think they are okay they just need to be cleaned up. All in all I'm very happy and now have a dwarf team using 2nd edition figures, a 2nd edition elf team (plus a 1st edition elf), and to top it all off a friend gave me some other figs he no longer needs and I have that 2nd edition skaven thrower I always see go for loads on ebay to add to my 3rd edition team. In fact, all of that was topped off by my wife buying me a copy of the game to take back to Japan!

@Magictobe: I never said that recasting was OK, I tried to give an economist's explanation of the problem with BB figs. In fact the more I think about it, the more I see an interesting paper to be written about that.
