(That hopeless pun deserves repeating.)

I'm arguably the game's worst Slann coach bar none, but these figures are just so impossibly glorious (and are getting better and better each and every new release) that I really don't give a frog. If me playing Slann is a matter of "live fast, die young, and have a good looking corpse", I think that I've pretty much scored the toadal trifecta (and then some).

Right now the lowest-ranked Slann player in the NAF is a French guy named Poups with a 57.22 rating (from a 5-6-35 record).

Just to be clear, I'm not making fun of the guy. Achieving a record like that takes a level of perseverance and tenacity which I don't think I'm capable of. Chapeau.

I think that M. Poups is bit of a power gamer, personally.

In the Trial of Blood (a pre-season for new teams) for the SWL Season LXV on FUMBBL, the Kroakland Raiders went 0-1-6 (7% win rate) with 6 players either killed (most often by Halflings - seriously) (and I do mean the 'flings - who didn't even bother ... let alone need ... to foul - and not by the trees) or crippled to the point of retirement.

My record with Slann so far is 1-2-8, with the lone win being by forfeit after I got a blitz on the kick off, scored in Turn 1, and had my opponent resign before starting his Turn 2 (the dill!).

I currently dream of getting good enough to achieve Poups' fantastic five wins, but somehow, I am not expecting that any time soon.

:orc:

Regardless of that genuinely awful record, I really do love playing Slann, and these figures are just the absolute bees' knees of figures imo.

That is just shameful... Why do people even play the game if they quit like that? I played a game recently where I scored in my turn 1 and we went on to have a great game. Sometimes being on the backfoot makes you play all the better!

Played a cyanide game. I kicked. First block quad skulls. Casualty. Guy quit.

If you cannot stall out for an 8 turn drive to score with dwarves then you need to go and play canasta with your dad..if you can find him.

yes, but people on Cyanide are generally asshats, in a f2f TT match, I have never known anyone do that. I've had a couple of guys concede at half time in tourneys (a long bomb to a Mino for a TD will do that apparently) but a turn 1 quit because of a Blitz KO and score?? FFS!

Haha! When Wulfyn and I played recently he quad-skulled on the line and all that happened was that we high-tenned and then laughed our arses off for a few minutes!

<-- Played hundreds of games on Cyanide with cool, fun people. And a few with irritating asshats. I think that ratio is constant no matter what the platform.

And yes, there are people who suck the fun out of the game, even in TT.

Anyway, back to talking about frog models!

concerning the kicker, i'm used to put kick on my catcher (instead on a linemen)
most probably, this 8th linemen will be my dirty player
€20,626 EUR raised by 353 backers
i think we have now (since a few days) a ratio of around 1k€ raised per day, no?
9 days left
if this continue till the end with this ratio, we would reach the last goal!
i gonna put more money on my paypal :)

Brilliant thought! Utterly brilliant.

:orc:

So brilliant, in fact, that I'm going to nick that idea, and model a plastic head (probably an Orc) just heading off into space.

Wasn't a blitz, I set up. He set up. I kicked, he blocked, he failed, he quit. I was stunned

Btw the white metal masters look awesome, but do you have something with a bit higher res, or maybe a close up of one of them?
