The Holiday Inn you are in, is it the one across the road from the big Sainburys, next the big roudabout and the MOD. If so you best bet is probably the 'Hotel bar' the Fox's Den. I can direct people to the better pubs tomorrow, but they are about 10-15 mins from the venue which is about 10 mins walk from where you are.

I'm at Bath Spa listening to Network rail tell me the reason my train is late is that some trains were late earlier, not really the best excuse to my mind.
