that flow chart is well wrong ;]
there are 2 outcomes to a pass
1) accurate
2) inaccurate
3) fumble
if its inaccurate it scatters 3 squares to the final square where it lands (note scatters not bounces)
the fumbbl causes a turnover and the ball scatters one square from the thrower (still a turnover even if it ends up in the hands of a team mate next to the thrower)
if someone is on the square where the ball lands (either on target or after the 3 scatter rills if inaccurate) they get to try and catch it, if they fail then it scatters one square from them, if it then lands in an empty square the pass fails and turnover, if it goes to another player they can try and catch it, this will keep happening (even go out of bounds and in again if need be) until the ball finally comes to rest in the hands of a player or if the ball lands in an empty square after a failed catch attempt
of course there is the interception attempt in there before the pass roll is even made
Really Important Rules Question

The flowchart is wrong ... guys again ... don't overcomplicate this it is really very very simple.
Again:
Galak
Again:
Code: Select all
When you attempt to PASS the BALL, you have 4 states that can occur:
1) Interception: This is an immediate turnover.
2) Fumble: This is a turnover, no matter what happens with the ball in the process of it coming to rest.
3) Inaccurate: You wait until the ball COMES TO REST. If ANY of your players have it when it stops moving, you my continue your turn. Otherwise, its AT THAT POINT a turnover (ie when the ball comes to rest).
4) Accurate: You wait until the ball COMES TO REST. If ANY of your players have it when it stops moving, the thrower gets one SPP for a completion (as long as he didn't catch his own pass) and you my continue your turn. Otherwise, its AT THAT POINT a turnover (ie when the ball comes to rest).

this kind of exeptions is somethin i think should be dropped.Grumbledook wrote:(still a turnover even if it ends up in the hands of a team mate next to the thrower)
It happen so rarely, and it would be so much simpler to memorize that, if a ball is thrown and ends up in an empty square or in the hands of an opponent, its a turnover.
same with starplayer points.
the thing is thrown, and caught, its a spp.
I would like to see a couple of "global" rules;
forgive me for muddying the swampy waters :p

Alright I'll take it down...
Okay after reading the rules again, the ball only scatters one square if not caught, and if the pass is incomplete, it scatters three times and may only be caught in the final square, none other.
I thought it bounced three times whether it was a failed catch or failed pass, and could be caught any time. Man was I wrong.
Thanks for all your patience, guys.

Three touchdowns in one game. I almost got the Al Bundy Trophy.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.
