Good idea but why pay $15-20 when all I have to spend is $4.99? I use these for BB, Mordheim and Necromunda gangs.
Three reasons I hope if we do this.

1) The Impact! one is smaller.

2) The Impact! one will allow you to put your figures in upright instead of on their side which provides significantly less wear and tear on your basing.

3) The Impact! one will come with a metal plate insert which will allow you to lock down your figures in an upright position ... this mixed with the foam will give you a high level of travel security with minimal possibility of damage to your figure.

===

I've used a case like the one you point to Stout and it really wreaks havoc with my basing over time as the foam is constantly running across the basing as the case is opened and closed.

I can honestly say that if Impact! starts carrying these I'll get rid of the 3 cases I have like the one you show and switch to the new Impact! cases as I'm tired of opening my current case to see more of my gravel and grass laying on the foam each time I open the case.

For customization, I figure all colours should at least be available to order, because some people might like the idea of having the case match the figs inside.

I voted blue, incidentally. :D

I voted Graphite, but I'd care less of the colour (heck even hot pink would be fine)

..........errr ok maybe not hot pink! :D

Truely yellow would be my first choice, but I think pretty much any colour will do.

I'd buy one regardless of color, I really need a carrying case as boxes filled with bubble wrap aren't very convenient.

The biggest trick is getting the metal plates. Talking to a guy tomorrow on cutting them in bulk for us.

The only problem i would see with metal plates, is that if the case is jarred, then the figs coulg go bouncing about inside the case.

The metal plate will be removable. In fact ... we'll probably sell the cases with and without them.

If you are purchasing Impact!'s magnetic base weights for your team ... the metal plate means that if the case is jarred ... they aren't going anywhere. I've been told that Tim once demonstrated this with his version of the case we are trying to sell by tossing his case with his figures in it across a room and into a wall to prove the point of why magnetic bases and a metal plate in your carrying case are a good idea.

Add this in with the magnetic football that we are coming out with this month ... and hopefully it all works together.

Sounds like a great idea & I love the idea of a magnetic football, I'll order a few cases (at least 3 (or more)

Wow, so the magnetic case will cling on to the figs. Great idea ( though probably not new, just new to me!)

One question, and slightly left field, but might customs be a bit suspicious of you bringing a magnetic case on board say a plane? Dunno, just though so from my old secret-agent days :D

The case isn't magnetic ... just the bases of your figures ... so they'll stick to the metal plate ... so you should be fine. The ball we are making is not magnetic either ... but it will stick to the base of the player if you are using magnetic bases.
