Worth noting that you can actually set up a paypal account now with a debit card that most of us (at least in the UK) have nowdays..you don't actually need a 'credit card' per se.

So if you have a personal account, ppl can't pay you via credit card, but from their paypal balance. You can receive and withdraw the funds to your bank account for free.

Ah, but the caveat is that you're not allowed to have a personal account if you accept more than 50 payments. They make you convert it to keep receiving money. That's what I was referring to.

Transferring your own money in your account is always free if you just do an electornic transfer. That's different than having someone else transfer money to you regardless of whether it's already in their account, on a cradit card, or in their bank account.
