if only the pact team was in BB:LE, I would totally give that a go...
C'mon Chance get your closet elf loving self in gear and do Norse 2.0
Starting build without the Ulfs, is a favourite of mine.
I am keen to hear what you guys have to say

Re: Three Die Block - Blood Bowl Podcast
After listning through all of the podcasts I think you guys need to do norse again soon. Your old one was, I am sad to say, poor at best imo. But your recent ones have been really fantastic, have you spent anymore time with the norse?
Have you guys got a schedule we can follow so I can stop moaning?
(Your forum doesn't want to work on my phone)
Sorry for being a bit negative.

Re: Three Die Block - Blood Bowl Podcast
They wanted me to do a segment on Norse, but I wasn't touching it with a ten-foot pole, and I did Orcs instead. That was back in October.
Hey, Inky, maybe you should volunteer to help them out with it!

I can see why they call you the king of comedy.
I as much norse play under my belt as joemanji has halfling experiance.
Not to say that I would turn down a guest spot

If you want to know why they call me the King of Comedy, come over here to the Land of Comedy and ask my beloved subjects where their taxes go, and how I got this awesome suit.

Darkson, you may need to have a talk with this one. Your apprentice seems to be trying to jump ship.

Norse starting without Ulfs? don't be silly.
Only the one though. They eat your rerolls.

Re: Three Die Block - Blood Bowl Podcast
I had success twice with that set-up much rather minimise the lack of block and ensure that I have both runners, both blitzers and the troll...

Re: Three Die Block - Blood Bowl Podcast
After trying it against the AI, I would suggest that the Catchers are still worth it. +20k for Catch and A access isn't too terrible. Catch works in more than 1 way... you might not pass much with Amazons (and when you do, you can just use a TRR for that 1 time MAX per half), but what about handoffs? Plus the occasional interception attempts, bouncing ball, or kickoff. And access to Diving Tackle or Sidestep on normal rolls is pretty good (maybe Jump Up). (Also, if you think Block/Dodge is annoying, how about Block/Dodge/Sidestep/Fend...)Shteve0 wrote:Also, for when the Amazons 2.0 review comes up, would be interested to hear you thoughts on a catcher/passer-less build, ie 4 blitzers, 8 linewomen and either 4 rerolls or three and an apoth, with 40k left over for first purchase.
I'm still divided on the Thrower. Yes, you can take Leader on a Linewoman on doubles, but all my doubles are pretty much slated for Guard (Sidestep? on Blitzers?), including the Thrower if I took her. A Thrower with Leader = 90k vs. a Linewoman with Leader = 80k... At only 10k, Pass is looking like less of a waste, and means that you don't "waste" a doubles roll. I dunno, I don't have one against the AI, and I'm not sure I'd take one on a "real" team. But it's close. I certainly wouldn't take two.
Also, PLEASE GOD DON'T DO NORSE AGAIN!

I'm down to only 1 or 2 old episodes left to listen to and just recently listened to Norse, because a) I hate them, and b) no Chance on that episode. Don't make me listen to Norse again! How about a team that you screwed up on the first time, like Vampires (I assume that was the reason you did Orcs 2.0 so early). Really, the three different builds had 0, 1, and 2 vampires on them? Not even a mention of the totally reasonable 3 vamp-5 TRR build, or the doable but risky 4 vamp-4 TRR build? Pauly's build somehow NEEDS an apothecary, because he wants to protect his ONE vampire???

I'd still like to see the Dwarf 2.0. After the famous Chance "Put mighty blow and guard on all of them" quote I think some more constructive ideas on dwarf play could be useful. Any from the 1st few shows being revisited would be good.

Re: Three Die Block - Blood Bowl Podcast
Heh, I like how the rookie mistakes have made for more podcasts. The differences between the 1.0 to 2.0 episodes is pretty massive. Shows how much you guys have learned from playing. I'm voting for Darkelves so Chance can atone for his sins. It was the only time "EVER" I yelled at my ipod
