doubles on catchers should go to NOS. honestly, i find i place my players well enough that the +ma doesnt really help me too much, and i frequently forget he has it anyway. although 7ma means you can score in 2 turns w/out any gfis, i would probably still take NOS.

I've taken the +MA for my two catchers and cause of this thread also on my blitzer (all no doubles of course). And i dont regret it. The norse need that +MA.
Having that blitzer with piling on, frenzy, tackle and +MA makes him the perfect receiver hunter. And those two catchers can reach the enemy endzone in two turns without those annoying gfi rolls.
I think the step from MA 6 to MA 7 is very important if you dont have faster players anyway.
And i would never take Leader on my position players in my norse team. They are just too important to "waste" a double for Leader. Dauntless or Dodge for Blitzers, NOS for Catchers and Strong Arm for Throwers probably would be my choice if i ever get those double....(but i never get...

To be honest, I'd rarely turn down any stat increase on a Norse team. Any of them are welcome.

had he rolled 4,6 i would take the +ma on the catcher for the reason i already mentioned. but as its a DOUBLE, i think i would have to forgo the ma and take NOS. i took +ma on a rat ogre, and +ma on a minotaur instead of a regular skill. looking back, i think i may have actually been better off taking block, as it was the first skill on them both. after time, however, i find the +ma is quite useful as everyone thinks they're out of range. i suppose the +ma on regular blitzers would provide the same advantage. my problem is, i rarely roll any +stat, its usually 1 guy on the team that gets 1 increase. and if he gets tied up, there's not much i can do about it. i can concentrate on freeing him up so i can use his extra ag or ma, or i can actually move/steal the ball and win the game w/ my other players.

In my opinion big guys dont follow most of the advancement rules. I would have taken block as well.took +ma on a rat ogre, and +ma on a minotaur instead of a regular skill. looking back, i think i may have actually been better off taking block, as it was the first skill on them both.
