Oh, and here are the full rules for the new "Off For a Bite":
Off For a Bite
A player with this characteristic must occasionally feed on the blood of the living. At the start of any action, roll a D6. On a 2+ the player may carry out the action as normal. On a '1', however, the player is overcome with a desire for blood. The player's team loses the declared action for that turn and the player must instead make a Move Action. If the player ends his action standing adjacent to a Thrall from his own team, immediately roll for unmodified injury on that Thrall (an injury to the Thrall is not a turnover). If the player does not end his action next to a Thrall from his own team, then he runs into Reserves to find a pretty maiden groupie to quench his thirs. Place him in the reserves box, this is a turnover.
Note that it doesn't specifically mention what happens if the thrall getting targetted by the vampire is holding the ball. I'm assuming that would be a turnover.
Argh, must buy Annual. I hate living in this retched frozen hell. And I'm moving in three weeks so I can't order it since I don't know exactlly how long it will take for the UK to send it state side. By the way Christer, are all these changes coming to fumbbl? What about the pact teams (Man I hate those stupid things)?
Well, they did it right with the Khemri, Vamps, and Necro teams, but boy, did they screw over the rotters! The beast was one of the few things that gave them the edge they needed, and without tentcles, he is just an ugly treeman. And now the rotters are slower than ever? Old chaos is looking better and better.
No new teams became official as of the 2003 annual. All are still experimental (although many improved).
Aside from the mention (in experimental rules) that existing Undead teams become Necromantic teams with 'special' allied mummies (who can't be replaced if they 'die', then no mention is made of the fate.

Maybe I should quickly start an undead team, then...
After the Necromantics become official, I should have a really fearsome team: 2 mummies (with regenerate AV9 and Str5 + block to keep them alive) and 2 Flesh Golems...
That rule will certainly cause trouble...

overall the changes seem good. It's like they listened to the suggestions from the TBB members . I still don't like the Ogre team since they are just improved goblins, but at least they still suck and cost to much (for the mini's) to have anyone seriously use that team
Ya know, I'd rather they make the Chaos team split into 4 and erase the old team than to do it to the Undead...but that makes too much sense, I'm sure.
The Nurgle team is a good idea but they really F'd up when they tried to do the minis forst. Now theu'll never be able to make a team that a majority can agree on.
