well, that sounds good. Are you the guy who runs impact miniatures? if so i just wonder what kind of plan we can work out or plans you have for me. in the mean time i will PM you my email address, and we can discuss more. In the mean mean time I will continue work on this fig, and will be starting my next one, pics soon I hope.

Hello everyone it's been a little while. I've started a second dark elf, who's to be a witch elf on the team, you know the blood and drugs drinking mouth frothing maniacs? Yeah! So I did a lot of work posing her and working on her musculature, cause she'll be mostly naked.
Here are some pics

Her face I just started, don't know if I'm diggin' the bride of frankenstien do.

Melfieria Heartstrike the fem fatale blitzer is coming along, I really am ready to start really finishing things up on her torsoe, and getting her legs done, some of her green stuff is getting very discolored, but her details are coming along.

Hope you are as pysyched as I am, woot! Comments ect. leave 'em please!

Looking good so far dude, as you mentioned mrs franenstein hair is just not doing it for me, the face and pose however is very neat and cool.
Cant wait to see more.

Hello everyone! I would like to first off apologize for the worsening state of my digital photography equipment. With that said beggars can't be choosers. Ok with all that said!

blitz
well I started adding on her leather thigh high things, and putting her grieves on her, the legs are almost done, I spent a while fleshing out (pun!) the upper legs and buttocks just to smooth them down one final time.
The hands are being sculpted elsewhere again, and with the consistency of the camera I just couldn't show them. Her head and hair are being build separate aswell. Norse suggested that I make alternate heads for the team, which seemed like a really good idea.

again these photos aren't doing this as much justice as I want, but it's ok. She's coming along really nicely. Both of her thigh high boots are done, and her feet (which are to be capped with skull tips) are looking very nice, even though they are just starting. I have done a lot more work on this model than the other these few weeks, but this sculpt needed a lot of catching up.

heads
well the heads are looking a lot better IMO, first head is the blitzers head, which still needs hair and a mouth.
Secondly is the witch elf's head, yes she's got a mohawk, a friend who'm i've been just bouncing ideas off of told me: "If she's going to be basically naked, and not look like a stripper she's going to need hair that says "She wouldn't have sex with you ever, even if you asked her really nice.""
So that's what I did. lol
Last head is a mask/visor that I was working on to be the secondary head for the blitzer.

I know the pictures aren't as good as last time (value of borrowed camera went down from 450-100 dollars) but I would REALLY REALLY appreciate feed back, since I'm going into final details on the models. Questions always welcome with suggestions.

I absolutely love those models. They are new and fresh, not like the other elf teams on the market. I'm broke, but I might be able to sell parts of my body to get money for these wonderful miniatures. I really hope they will go into production.

Apart from that the heads need a bit more work, IMHO. Are the faces WIP? That might explain the lack of details... or maybe it's my poor eyes or the pictures or whatever... I still love them.

Nice sculpting so far though you are right, the last batch of pics are pretty poor and hard to make much out. If you can, up the F stop on the camera a bit (to brighten them up when you take the pics).

I agree they are above the rest of the elven teams out there, much more dynamic and slender.

Yes, the heads are all WIP, getting them to look right has been the hardest thing i've had to do. I'm making this team for LRB5, and I'm thinking about what assassins and runners for the team will look like.

I've got some nice ideas in my head. I just want to get these first 2 done, the green one is getting out of hand in my opinion. Her details are fine if you are holding the model, but because of all the different colors of green stuff she's looking like a molding statue. But, I feel like she's still looking how I want. I'm not sure how interested anyone is in making these still...but I will at least end up with a full team. I took to re-fiddling with the f-stop fitzgerald of the camera, took like 50 pictures, none of them the much better than the first batch, brighter...but still grainy. The camera's only 8 mega pixels.

I don't know, when I get the better camera back the pictures will be much nicer, like the first two updates.

Only 8 MP?!?

Man, that's way overkill for shooting miniatures already! The earliest two entries in my CMoN gallery were shot with a 3 MP camera; the four more recent ones were shot with a 5 MP. I'm not linking any of the pics directly because I have no desire to hijack your thread, and I make no comment on the quality of the paint jobs if you do look -- the pics are actually fairly accurate representations of the real-life figures, which just serves my point that you can get some pretty decent shots out of far less in the equipment realm than what you're currently using. My pics might not be quite the greatest, either, but I think they're more than adequate, at the least.

The primary things to keep in mind when shootings minis are lots of light, no flash, and a tripod. A light tent (or some other type of diffuser) is also a huge help. You might be able to skim for some tips in some macro photography articles I've bookmarked over the years; a few at random (I don't have access to all my old bookmarks on this system) are:

OK thanks to lathiel's splendid camera advice, and now charged with the ability to actually take photos with a camera instead of pretend to, I present, the 4th update (for lack of a better term for it). This includes a few new things on each model (not a lot on the witch) as well as pictures you can actually see.

The witch's smaller sinister field equipment, it's got some hair (WIP) That comes over the one side, is pinned back over the ears and will be a pony tail.

I hope this has enlightened everyone as to what it is that I am actually doing. I guess this is the part were people should insult me? Go for it.

If you insist: Your mother is a hamster and your father smells of elderberries!

On the figures, though, looking good. I'm concerned that the witch elf may have something of an eating disorder - have you considered sending her to a specialist? There are people that can help, and if you stand back and do nothing now, you may find she comes to resent you later in life.

The sculpts really are looking lovely, though. Get these cast and on sale!

Well what she lacks in meat she makes up for in the rack... Lol.

I would love to see these lasses cast and on sale also.
