Great deal on the 2003 Annual
Okay guys ... know don't rape this poor guy, because he's one of the sponsers of the GenCon Bowl and he donated about $200 in stuff for prizes.
But my friend who owns http://www.chaosmailorder.com has but the 2003 Blood Bowl Annual on his site at a name your price.
Now I tried to order this off the GW website and it was $15 with $6.50 shipping = $21.50
So why not type in a price of $10.75 and pick USPS Air Mail Parcel Post to get free shipping and take a 50% discount from the GW price to get the 2003 Annual if you still need one. (If you guys type in $1 and rape him, I don't think you'll see a deal like this again from him .... I realize that some of you will do it anyway ... but let me just say ... boo on you for wrecking it for the rest of us in the future (and yourself to be honest since you won't get any more special deals either))
And while you are ordering the Annual ... hopefully you'll take the time to grab a few other BB items at 10 to 20% off. I know that Chaos Mail Order was how I got my Ogres to cut some corners.
Now this company normally only ships to the USA and Canada. But if you don't live in the USA or Canada, email them and see if you can work out a deal if you want to try them.
Its one of the very few companies that I vouch for a good place to get BB merchandise from.
And as a final note ... ChaosMailOrder did not ask me to post this. I'm doing it just because this is a very rare offer by a company on BB stuff, and I really appreciate this company donating so much stuff for the GenConBowl.
Well ... it will be interesting to see how this works. I'll check with Mark (the owner) in a couple weeks and see how this special deal worked out.
Game on guys!

I just ordered one from him and the name your own price only works to an extent, you can't type in $1.00 and expect to get it for that amount as you won't be able to go through the checkout (price did not match minimum value for that item). I don't think you have to worry about "raping" this guy as there are mechanisms built in to make sure he doesn't get ripped off. Anyway, I still got mine cheaper than getting from either US or Canada GWMO.
BTW, only 10 were availabe (9 now), so don't delay in getting one if you are interested (obviously a better deal for US members of this board, you can get the free shipping).

Ahhhh .... thanks Torg ... well it makes me feel a little bit better that there is some type of backup to keep him from getting screwed.Torg wrote:as there are mechanisms built in to make sure he doesn't get ripped off. Anyway, I still got mine cheaper than getting from either US or Canada GWMO.
Like I said he didn't give me the details, so I didn't know. But I know Mark. He's done stuff in the past that have the potential to lose money if he thinks it could help sell other stuff. I just had images of everyone trying to get $1 Annuals when I'd be pretty happy with 50% off.

Has anybody experience with ordering BB stuff from the US which has to be shipped to Europe?
Especially Germany (guess why)??
The prices are nice but taxes might be added and I wonder how much that might be...
My general experience with goods from the US is that taxes vary depending on the contend and may result in rather expensive shoppings...

I won some impressive titles in 198X, some more in 199X, even more impressive titles in 200X, some of them REALLY impressive, and a few even MORE impressive! Not to mention a lot of less impressive ones.

Official leaflet says:
Goods and Wares (declared as merchandise) from outside the EU with a value above 11.00 Euro will require the receiver to pay 16% VAT. (for private, declared as gift, packages the value is 22.00 Euro)
This is the official part, the inofficial is you will get 100% charged if the actual price is printed on the shipment, eg. the bill is visible from outside. If the bill is not visible but it is declared as merchandise there is a random chance that the duty officials will open it and charge you (I guess it depends on size, value, intutiotion etc.) as they don't have enough perseonell for everything and sometimes they just don't care. Shipments declared as gift/private will be opened from time to time, as well, their contents getting checked.
Very amusing was one story: I bought from a guy a 2nd ed. Dwarf team and he labeled it "gift, value 200US$". I don't know why (insurance fraud?). The package was opened by the duty officials and I received the package with a note attached: "Value correct?" (I had not to pay any VAT, evem the original price was above 22.00 Euros).
Ask Traveller, he just received a package from MO-US, but sometimes the VAT notification turns up weeks later (or it turns up immedeately, but when you don't pay it, they do not pursue it any further if it's a minimal amount like 1.00-5.00 Euros.

Just got mine today. Found it wasn't really a big savings (though I did save over ordering from GW). I was charged US$12.00 for shipping but the postage on the box was only $4.40, strange. Also the fact that they put it in a box (yes it got here in perfect condition) instead of an envelope, I had to pay about $7.00 customs charge on it, so it wound up not being a real huge bargin. Would be more of a real big bargin for those who live in the USA, anyway, I am still glad I got one, but doubt I will order anything else from US as the extra customs charges and high shipping doesn't make it all that much cheaper. Just my 2 cents.
