TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.

There were 14 people non-NAF before the day. They signed up at registration with Phil. I thought that was pretty good to get 14 more people for the NAF from one tournament!

I have no idea what GG is or what you guys are talking about, sorry.

Awards were:
1st place
2nd place
3rd place
Most violent (most casualties)
Best offence (most TDS scored)
Best defence (least TDS conceded)
Dirtiest player (most fouls attempted)
Stunty cup
Most Strangles
Best Painted
Wooden Spoon

We capped trophies at one per coach, so if someone came i.e. 1st or 2nd they wouldn’t also get best offence, defence etc

Sorry, I've not checked the thread for a while. The practice of hiding tournament threads away immediately after the weekend makes later posts difficult to reliably pick-up (maybe just me?). I signed up 16 new members / renewals on the day, exhausting my supply of bits in one swoop. So far as I'm aware, the tournament sign-up fee included NAF membership. This is a new-ish group with a number of coaches that were at their first NAF event, I believe I / we caught them all and the Stranglebowl was a universally NAF event? We’ll sort the Score! file prior to upload.

Please cut the chaps a little slack re: results, GG and everything else. They're new at the NAF tournament game (however, boy, did they hit the ground running!), probably not as familiar with TFF conventions as some of us, and not everyone follows such things (even old hands like me). It'll all come out in the wash in time!

There was some chat in another section in the forum not so long ago that suggested TFF isn't well frequented by newcomers to the game. As more and more new groups / tournaments spring up, getting results here might become a more difficult exercise. I don't know how I'd suggest tweaking the GG stuff to cope, but probably worth bearing in mind.

Wasn't having a go, and apologies if it looked like I was. It was a large, successful, event. Even more impressive for a first time.

I don’t think it looked like you were having a go - have no fear. I can just see it from a new group’s point of view; it must be a bit confusing when people pop up asking things of you when you don’t know why or what it’s for. No harm done. ;)

Ah, more explanation about we are talking about needed. No one tourney stands alone, but is part of a greater whole :)

It was universally NAF, if people were not NAF before the day they paid £5 more – which was then sent to the NAF to cover registration for a year.

@Phil - we had 14 people say they were non-Naf when signing up, and who paid an extra £5 ticket fee to cover that. You said 16 on the day did - I– assume the 2 other people paid you the registration fee directly? I sent £70 last week to the PayPal you provided to cover the 14 people.

Didn't take anything as having a go guys! I just don't use this forum, or really any forum - literally just registered to post about StrangleBowl so don't know what GG was/is but hopefully you guys have all the information you need now for whatever you're doing or keeping track of :)

I think most people use Facebook these days. For StrangleBowl I think maybe 3 out of 51 appeared to hear about it from this thread and the rest Facebook or word of mouth. This thread is mainly just me replying to myself

Thanks for the info!

You should pay more attention to the GG standings leap - you're in 11th!

I caught 13 newbies and 3 renewals on the day, I've since been informed about another new chap you had pay up on the day / for the event and I've got him too. Our numbers add up, we caught them all. ;)

Oh, umm, that's great haha. I hope the top 20 (or 11) all win a car or at least a speedboat.
