Apologies for the absence... The greens are coming, production is nearing and I'll keep you updated as much as possible. Unfortunately, for the past couple of months the only news has been "Pedro is still working is arse off!"shuran31 wrote:Any news? I'm really bad at waiting
Some might say Slanntastic...shuran31 wrote:It looks really fantastic ! Thanks for the news !
While I agree, I also believe its a reasonable amount to do with the team design alsohorekim wrote:Seeing these greens make me happy. They have so much more character than any 3D sculpt will ever have.

That is very true as well. A bad sculpt is a bad sculpt in any medium, and a good sculpt of a bad design can still lead to a mediocre product. So what we got here is a situation where everything slotted together like a thing from the movie Transformers which leads to one of these situations where the final thing is greater then the sum of it's parts. I believe that qualifies as a work of Art then.mawph wrote:While I agree, I also believe its a reasonable amount to do with the team design alsohorekim wrote:Seeing these greens make me happy. Greens do seem to look better than 3D renders though, but I suspect that'll partly be along the same lines as computers starting to get a little bit too fancy for my liking(i.e. all attributable to impending old age)
A computer is the medium of a technician while green stuff is the medium of an artist. That's how I see it anyway.the solitaire wrote:That is very true as well. As to the 3D sculpts. So far they never gave me the feeling that something coming from a 3D sculpt ended up being greater then the sum of all it's parts, or even getting close to 42 for that matter.
Now that would be interesting, seeing a Pixar-designed BB team!Darkson wrote:So Pixar Studios are just "technicians"?
