One small step for Slann. One... giant leap for Slannkind.

-sorry. Couldn't resist ;P

I absolutely love this team (and many others), but I actually think 65£ is on the steep side. Not for the pieces, they are all very nice. It's just my wallet. I would actually like a bit cheaper option, like GW's, where a team would consist of just two models of lineman and modified positionals. I usually paint them so I you can tell the difference anyway.

-That said, this team is going to sell like water in the sahara.

I noticed he did not. Thank you for the condolances.

It's good to see the last 2 catchers came out as excellent as the first two. That makes a complete team now :D

Regardless of whether I can chip in as early bird or not. This team is the first bloodbowl team I will purchase in 2016. It is also the first set of new miniatures that I will purchase since 2010' ish. I bought a lot of garage finds and stuff from ebay but for the first time in years I am stoked to buy something new. That in itself is quite an achievement I would say!

Meikos Kaos warriors had me on the brink. Could decide against them for the moment. Then Realms of Chaos (still not certain there, but I would not know what to do with the miniatures or where to use them so I think I will pass there as well) but these little cute frog-men are a home-run

Hi guys! Sorry this is a little late... I was out of the country again towards the end of last week and, upon returning, was horrendously sick! Double trouble!

Now... Cast your eyes upon the final two catchers! Full details for the campaign coming very soon! :D

I am somewhat biased because my nick does accurately imply a passion for amphibians, and have just been converted into The Joys of the Slann on FUMBBL. So despite apprehensions about crowd funding projects, I will be in on these visions splendid.

Just a couple of points (having read this entire thread to here): I do want the options of the 8th Linefrog & the third and fourth Blitzers so that should I wish to explore those options in my team, I won't have to proxy up and cringe inside (and I am a player that enjoys exploring all possible permutations of any team). It is not unknown for Slann players to evolve a 4 Catcher/ 11 Linefrog team, in which situation the Blitzer minis would be fine as Linefrog wannabees, if there are enough of them.

And there is nothing more useless than a single, token cheerleader. Give me lots, or give me none at all, please.

Also: that Kroaksigor is the seriously real deal. and it has to be a tongue, definitely (I am not going to tell the joke about the princess and frog, kiddies - go ask your father).

I had previously envisaged building my team using miniatures from other manufacturers, but my focus has shifted considerably as I learnt of these sculpts over the past hour or so.

I am monitoring this thread for the early bird notification.

All due respect and kudos to the artist.

You know most manufacturers would probably let you buy more than just one? I would rather see lots of different player minis in a team than a ton of cheerleader sculpts. After all, cheerleading is very often about looking good and uniform as a squad than being different

Yeah, fair call, that. And, on reflection, I tend to agree.

On a slightly different tack: I saw a Slann team today that was nothing but a Kroaksigor and Linefrogs, and it was being played with the panache and flair of a true artist. So there are some serious and highly credible experiments being undertaken in the Slanniverse.

As they used to say in the old TV series from way back when: "Slann, the final frontier ..... ".

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT TIME...

It is confirmed. I am back from the NAFC and working hard on the campaign page which... Ahem... GOES LIVE AT 7PM (UK TIME) ON FRIDAY 6th MAY!

Apologies that it is a little late kicking off. This was to ensure that absolutely everything for the main team was ready to go to the casters before the campaign kicked off to make the campaign and the post-campaign production run as smoothly as possible.

I hope you are all as excited as I am! I will post a link to the campaign page once it is fully finished.

Thanks,

J-Bone :D
